On the bottle it says to "remove excess water" before applying the wax so I'm assuming no. But maybe someone else can chime in to confirm?

Wow, this thread makes me feel really slow. I spent 2 hours claying my car but that's likely due to the fact that I've been negligent on doing that (around 5 years). How many pads are you guys typically going through in a polishing step?

+1 for Optimum Car Wax I just applied OCW to my car this Saturday and my friend's car yesterday and I'm pretty happy at how well they beaded last night in the rain.

I guess I should invest in more pads. Today I really felt like 2 pads aren't enough. Now the question is should I get more LC flat pads or just go to Optimum's microfibre pads?

I did :) And my orange pads have a black Velcro...don't HT pads have white Velcro on the back?

Oh ok. Thanks, Ryan. They're actually more orange in person. The camera didn't do a very good job of capturing the color.
