    Dirt or something else?

I was using fg400 with a LC thin pad. The paint has metallic flakes and looks almost like it has a flat finish to it. It's beige and is a lot lighter than what was on the pad. The test area looks better after compounding but still needs attention. I'll have to post some pictures later

    Dirt or something else?

Tested out a small section on my 85 Eldorado today. After a few passes I noticed that my pad was turning grey. Does this look like dirt that was trapped in the paint or paint transfer? I used a clay bar before testing anything out. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks, you guys are awesome! There's probably a ton of pollen on my car so I'll see if the wash helps.

    Collinite 845 not working

After applying 2 coats of 845 to my vehicle, I noticed that it did not bead as much after the first rain storm. It almost looks as if the wax was eaten away by the elements outside. What am I doing wrong?

The guy who did the paint work was buffing the truck with a dirty pad and without washing it which would explain all the marks. It would be a shame if the holograms were under the clear.

Just got my truck back from being painted and noticed a bunch of scratches. I heard that the LC thin pads were good so I ordered a variety pack. I started out with the orange pad but it wasn't very effective so I switched to the grey pad. The grey pad was the same story which left me with the...

    Haze and Marring after FG400

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I broke out the Griots today and decided to detail my Camaro. I started out with an orange Buff and Shine pad, but it wasn't doing much. I then used a Meguiar's mf pad and it corrected the big scratches. After holding a light above the paint, I could see micro-marring...
