Thanks guys :) Ill try 'ground' the car, see if that helps at all, and maybe just have to carefully wipe down the panel(s) with some QD.

Polishing not going so well, need some advice...

Thanks Desertnate :), so just wipe off excess residue like normal, then proceed with POXY ? Thanks custmsprty :). You don't have any issues running at 5-6 speed ? I'm rather hesitant as it feels fast and don't want to burn through the paint (like I did with wetsanding :/ ) I only have 2x...

Polishing not going so well, need some advice...

Thanks guys :). dcjredline: Not rejecting the advice, just saying what I heard others say, that's it's performance was considered 'less' than other polishes in the price range, especially @ $36, just want to make sure before I jump in. Paul A.: I started out priming the pad with product, then...

Polishing not going so well, need some advice...

Hey fightnews, I heard many people say Megs Ult Pol isn't all that great... thoughts? Also, 'priming' the pad... does it have to be with the product? A read many people spray a lil' QD or water onto the pad to prime, which I like, as I feel as though priming with product, seems like a waste ...

Dust attracted to car like a magnet, tips ?

Hi guys, I'm detailing my car (outside) but I'm having trouble with dust, both from the polish and outside dust (mostly polish I think), getting stuck on the car as I'm working. I'm getting better at managing the dusting, cleaning more frequent, and not working it as hard, but seems to be a...

Thanks guys :) Thanks VISITOR, Ill look into those two you linked :) Thanks Opti, so you recon Opti-clean is the way to go if I wanted to give the car/panels a quick wipe down ? What's the main difference between a specific QD and using a 'waterless' or 'no-rinse' option ? Thanks :)

Which Quick Detailer / Waterless Wash ?

Hi guys, My car sits outside, so it's often exposed to the dust, dirt, rain, poop etc.. Hoping to get some recommendations on an inexpensive, budget oriented, weekend warrior - Quick Detailer / Waterless wash, maybe something with the ability to remove water spots too, just so I can spray on...

Tips & Techniques for using a Spray Detailer to Remove Light Dust, Fingerprints and Smudges

Great write up!, quick question, sorry if I missed it, can Spray Detailers, like Mothers Showtime, be used to remove compound residue ? or is it likely to act as a filler in some regard, causing defects to 'disappear' thus hiding them from being corrected ?

(Beginner) Any Tips on cleaning these Alloy Wheels ?

Thanks bbattle :). What class would Hydrochloric Acid fall under? Only reason I used it as it was a recommendation to use as an Acid based cleaner by a couple of details, same with the oven cleaner. I had a look online but had trouble finding strong acid cleaners that could be used on wheels...
