It's very possible that the panel you were working on had red tintcoat instead of clearcoat. What kind of car did the panel come off of? If you know then you can Google that vehicle and color and it will tell if it's tintcoat.

When will the seminar information be available?

I had the exact issue with my Mytee and sometimes cleaning would help but it kept getting worse. You can order the small brass nozzle from Mytee for just a few bucks. I ordered 3 and it was still cheaper than the freight to get from California to Kentucky. It has been working fine ever since.

When I participated in Mike's class he recommended that we "burn" the tape before applying to trim. He would pull a section of tape off and press it onto his pants or shirt and then apply to the trim. This was supposed to make it easier to remove as well as prevent the situation you are...
