I used a Blacklight then bfwd and topped they with BF Black Ice. I love the way it looks and the beading.

Are there any smaller backing plates for the GG?

After a coating of Black Ice applied... If it weren't for the orange peel...it'd be glowing! :)

Bringing this back up... After polishing, does the residue/haze from the compounds need to be cleaned off prior to applying BL? Or does it act as the cleaner as well?

All taped up and ready to go... And taped off for comparisons and test area...

Thanks for the pointers. I'll be using it again soon so hopefully it will be broken in now. I am guessing since it can be rinsed off, it can be used on glass as well as paint, unlike clay?

After claying it looked a lot better, but then again it always does, right? ;) There are water spots and some minor scratches it looks like, so I'll be doing a light polish then Blacklight. Topping it all off with BFWD then Black Ice! :D

So, I washed and clayed yesterday. This is going to be a few day process. Here is the hood after washing and claying. Other parts were too dark to get a good picture and I didn't have a proper light with me.

I have the medium grade. I used it like both, just to see if it made a difference.

So I bought the Nano wash mit seeing the rave reviews about it, thinking to save time. After washing, then washing again with the nano I blew it dry, then used the guzzler to finish drying. Afterwards I did the ziploc bag test. Rough as hell. Granted there are water spots on the paint, but...
