akj, I use the Griot's Garage Glass Polish on a regular basis and I must say it impresses me time after time. Combine that with the Griot's Garage 3 or 6 inch glass polishing pads and a DA polisher and you will achieve fantastic results. The glass polish is something I order on a regular basis.

Ouch... My best guess would be to soak up as much as you can with some towels then make multiple passes using a hot water extractor until all of the product is out of the carpet. It may take a while because it will foam when the hot water hits it.
