    G15 maintenance

My G15 came with 2 washers. I tried one and then ended up using both later, but didn't notice too much of a difference. Somehow, while I was cleaning the pad on the fly, one of the washers popped out? Maybe missed one when I went to put the BP on. Fiddled with it to make sure it was secure...

    Newb to DA!

Chemical Guys pad cleaner works well for me. Dump a little in a bucket with warm water then toss soiled pads in there. Use a brush scrub, then rinse out a few times.

GG6 & LC thinpro pads, So this happened..?!?!

Wow that's some carnage lol. You should be changing pads often. Clean and rotate the pads if you only have a few on hand.

    Favorite Non-Detailing, Detailing Item

Used the Beats Studio. Got a good deal on it and very comfy. I might have a big head, but it is somewhat tight fitting. In a few days, I will be trying out, hopefully, the Sony ZX770BN.

    Polishing by section?

Can also do compound a whole panel and then polish it. Probably a better way of doing it if you're not going to do the whole vehicle in one day.

    Pad Washer Question

I throw my pads in a bucket filled with warm water and chemical guys pad cleaner. Let it soak then pull them out and scrub with pad brush. Spray extra pad cleaner for more soiled pads. Then rinse off and toss on polisher and spin some of the water out.

Double failure on a 2014 black Nissan Maxima... ugh

Maybe try HD Speed with a white pad first. Then move on to compound with orange pad if it's not cuttin it. Use a stool for the roof?

How much clay do I really need per bar?

Yes, I am worried that it is not as efficient as regular clay, but only real hands on experience will give me an answer.

How much clay do I really need per bar?

Divided my bar into 1/3's. Probably could have done 1/4's since my car is small. Picked up the nanoskin sponges though, will see how it compares.

    HD Speed + WDGPS?

Go with HD Polish then. Speed has HD Poxy in it which is a hybrid wax. Pretty sure general consensus is that you top wax over sealant not the other way around.

2015 BMW 435i Meets HD Speed & HD Poxy

Why not just use HD Polish if you're going to use HD Poxy afterwards? From what I read, Speed is 75% Polish and 25% Poxy.

    SAMPLES (original post updated)

Ended up switching to smaller pads. Have three 6.5in LC cutting and three 6.5in LC polishing pads. All still sealed. Interested in pretty much anything, but mostly: -5.5in pads -Paste wax

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

2nd package came in. No busted bottles this time (One caved in but seems intact). Awesome packaging actually. Six 6.5in pads came in, anyone want to trade for 5.5in pads? 3 cutting and 3 polishing.

Anyone Receive Their Black Friday Stock?

Finally got one of mine in! Forgot to put in the free gift though. Also the pad cleaner leaked 1/4 of the fluid all over the bottom of the box. Oh well, good thing everything else was sealed. . .

    Best Paint Sealant(Winter Daily Drivers)

I've had a friend question how my car looks so clean and shiny while it's raining. Had Meguiar's Ultimate wax on there. Going to be trying Wolfgang's deep gloss sealant sometime soon though, nothing but good reviews.
