About had a heart attack today!

Good thing you can't feel them, that means they are correctable (probably). I know it is a sin to mention, but back before I started getting serious about keeping my vehicles clean, I had a black S-10 that I used the colored turtle wax on. It was great at filling in rock chips and small...

How to Remove Scratch From Stereo Display?

I don't see why a mild compound or polish wouldn't work on it. I would try your least aggressive stuff first, then move slightly more aggressive each time, if the scratch isn't removed by the previous step/chemical.

    help with wheels

From the pictures... it looks to me like maybe the clear coat on those aluminum wheels, is in the process of peeling, from the back side. I know this is a typical problem with ford Explorer wheels that are neglected, so I don't see why a Mustang Mach wheels, if neglected as well, wouldn't have...

Driven Auto Detail: 2006 Grand Prix GXP

In all fairness.... those tips are a pain in the you know what to get to look good. I have always taken what I consider good care of mine, and they still don't get perfect anymore, only after 18,000 miles.

    2003 GMC Sierra

Looks really good. I'll bet the lower half of that truck took some elbow grease :)

    peterbuilt truck detail

I would guess you could use something like the powerball for alluminum on the truck, since there is plenty of it, and it would be much bigger than on a normal passenger car.

I always keep my waxes in my basement. Much cooler than my garage in the summer, but never gets below 60* in my unfinished basement.

About to polish my 06 Vette with Menzerna SIP and Porter Cable: Please Help me Answer

Re: About to polish my 06 Vette with Menzerna SIP and Porter Cable: Please Help me An I am no professional, and I'm sure others will chime in with more help. I would absolutely clay the car again after a wax. Just because you clayed the car last year, doesn't mean you didn't get more road...

    Wax Your Kitchen Cabinets!

I would think this would only work if the wood has had a laquer or a clear coat applied to it, I don't see why it wouldn't soak into the pores of the wood, if it was just stained, or left natural with no polyeurethane. Maybe wrong though. I will give it a try. Now, just so I don't put in on...

    1998 Expedition grille trim.

I have seen what you are talking about before. My guess is that it will have to be replaced because the "chrome" look is in the backing of the plastic, and it is separating from the rubber or plastic part. Without picutres though, it is hard to say for sure.

    Need some pricing help Autogeek!

I would follow the advice above, with a slight modification. When I first started detailing, I would contact other detailers in the area, and act like a customer, to get thier pricing. Then I would look at some of their work, and compare it to my own work. This way, I could figure out if my work...

    Claying

Why don't you take it to the carwash, and clay in one of the bays. Around here, during the day, the car washes aren't that busy ( Not counting weekends) so you probably wouldn't disturb anyone if you clayed in the car wash bay. Just a thought.

Rasky's AD: Black 2000 Chevy truck

WOW! That looks great. I hope my truck turns out half that good. I have an '01 Black Silverado, extended cab, the once I get a free weekend, will get this same exterior treatment. The interior doesn't need it, I own it, and therefore keep it clean. GOOD WORK!!!!

    a proper interior detail.

Of coursre somone is willing to clean this thing for $125 now. You already have everything clean. And, did you show or tell the customer what all you had to do to get this thing clean? If not, then I gaurantee you that $125 for someone else's work, won't net the customer the same results. Don't...

    Removing Spoiler

IMO, if there are holes, it wouldn't be worth taking off. By the time you pay someone to fill the holes, then re-paint the back part of your car, so it will blend well, you are taking a big risk, and spending quite a bit of money. Just my $.02

    Wax the kitchen faucet?

I would suggest a sealer, like the NXT 2.0 you suggested. This will also prevent, or help prevent any hard water or lime accumulation, if you have that problem in your area. :)
