    Griot's Garage at Advanced Auto?

Hello, I was in Advanced Auto picking up some parts and saw a small shelf with Griot's Garage products. I didn't catch any of the prices, but I did see a good number of their products. My question is, other than most likely being overpriced, would this be the same formula that I would buy from...

    Cars + kids

You could always walk out there with no pants and a tinfoil hat and see if the children want to go to space with you like you did in '94. They would be to scared to ever go near your apartment again!

    can I afford life

Just an example, my dad says he's seen a lot of Dr. Engineers and Master Engineers who have no idea how to turn a wrench and would rather hire somebody with "less" school and more life. But take what I say with a grain of salt because I'm maybe a couple years older than you. There's still a...

    can I afford life

Don't be afraid of community college. I started out at the University, went well for a bit, and then I stared screwing around. Cut to about a year and a half later, I'm living back at home and going to community college so I can work and get my head back on straight. Funny enough...

    "Specialty" Detailing?

I don't know about you being senile, but what you found is correct! Im the MAN It makes your hands sticky and doesn't come with the perfumes in the normal detailing-specific products, but it has been looking great so far from an afternoon shower yesterday and off and on storms today.

    "Specialty" Detailing?

Picked up some Penetrol while I was out today...and WOW!!! For me, at least, it seems to yield better results. I'll see how it lasts a few washes from now, but so far I'm very happy! Thanks!

    "Specialty" Detailing?

Perfect! Even more so since I could get it locally and try it out! Im the MAN That is exactly the kind of thing I was trying to get together in my head but couldn't figure it out. I still want to be able to make a full car beautiful, but don't have the time to do them on weekdays. :detailer:

    "Specialty" Detailing?

I have been looking for a good trim restorer, and so far Back to Black and Ultimate black haven't made me very happy. The trim restoration is a great idea! I did think of the spot paint repair and chip repair, but without any sort of insurance or anything, even though I can do it, I want to...

    "Specialty" Detailing?

Thanks for the suggestions! The wheel restoration is a really good idea. As for the screen replacement, in my area, they are a dime a dozen. There is even an advertisement for one in my local neighborhood ad.

    "Specialty" Detailing?

Hey everyone! I have posted a while ago about starting a part time detailing business, and got a price list and brochure together fully intending to do that. However, I wanted to see how school panned out and realized that I had very little time to devote to doing "full" basic details. In...

    Sub $3 Grand Commuter

I like that wording a lot better, lets go with that! There is a local car show once a month and there is a guy there who has a Marauder with a supercharged 4.6. It's not a 6 speed, but still is quite amusing to see.

    Sub $3 Grand Commuter

Total brain fart moment! You said Buick and for some reason I thought Lincoln/Mercury and drew a line to the Crown Vic thinking that the Buicks were the "luxury" brand of Ford.

    Sub $3 Grand Commuter

My first car was a 79 C10. I learned basic bodywork on that...and it still was held together by rust. I spent more money on keeping oil behind my seat than I did on gas. I know that the early Zetecs in Europe had a problem with the valves hitting the cylinder head if the timing belt broke. I...

    Sub $3 Grand Commuter

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm about an hour inland, so hopefully that is far enough from the shores to avoid that kind of rotting! The smaller numbers also look much better to me!

    Sub $3 Grand Commuter

Hey AGO, It's not related to my other topics, but I figure that if anyone can have sensible options, it is my detailing friends at AGO! I sold my 7.3 and with school starting back up in a couple weeks, I'm in the need of a sensible commuter car. I have been looking at early 2000s Civics, Foci...

Advice For Correcting My Hood's Paint

Welcome to AGO! I agree, it looks like clear coat failure. Mr. Phillips has a write-up on clear coat failure if I can find it.

    Clear-Coat Touch Up Pen?

Also, would coating it be a good option to help resist the chips in the future? I wash it once a week and put a new coat of wax about once a month (Megs. Gold Class). In all honesty, I'm still experimenting with stuff for use with side jobs once finals finish.

    Clear-Coat Touch Up Pen?

Thanks for the responses! I just threw pen out there as something to show how small of a job the dings actually are. Preferably, something I could buy off of here would be ideal.

    Clear-Coat Touch Up Pen?

Hello everybody! As a personal journey, I have taken the responsibility of keeping my parents first brand new car looking brand new(as everyone with the dedicated errand-runner 'Mom car' knows, that can be quite the task). It has had 7k miles put on it in a few months! The issue I'm finding...

    Anatomy of Water Spot?

Hey everybody! I was just wondering what made a water spot a water spot? I'm assuming that it has to do with the iron and other contaminants in the water source due to the fact that distilled water doesn't produce water spots. I ask because I end up having to do a light claying of the car...
