Any other F1 fans out there?

I was skeptical about all the new rookies but looks like they will fare quite well. Carlos Sainz Jr. really impressed me in the Torro Rosso and Felipe Nasr in the Sauber. And Max Verstappen @ 17 years old? really? I do think they need to go to 1000hp with wide tires and trickier cars to...

Any other F1 fans out there?

I'm a fan - hell look at my Forum name ;). Tuned in late last 3 nights for the action in Melbourne. Looks like Merc is gonna run away with it again this year. Ferrari looks like it's having a resurgence. Mclaren Honda.. oh man. And looked like half the field fell off. BTW, I like IndyCar...

The Good Thing About Snow When It's This Cold...

Hah, nice. Last year with all the ridiculous storms, one morning leaving for work I had a terrible shimmy in the front wheels. Stepped out and noticed it was a bunch of snow/ice packed in behind the spokes and i couldn't push it out. Turned around and got back to the driveway. I couldn't get...

    C Quartz??

Cquartz is a very good option and I especially agree with the above comment on the new Classic Cquartz. However this time of year is perfect for CQ UK. For removal, I find it's best to stick with using the Micro Suede towels. They help alot in removing the product without leaving streaks.

    Bulletproof coating how bulletproof?

very nice - real easy, no worrying about high spots - if there are, it's easy to take care of. Can be layered, very slick, glossy. Their Topper spray is like the reload for it and also dead easy. Best thing is the price. Can do two layers on an average sized car with about a quarter of the...

    Most durable winter sealant?

I've always liked FK 1000P, which has always served me well in the past and proven. Others, Zaino Z2 Pro / Duragloss #105 and #111 / DP Poli-Coat works well For new stuff, definitely Sonax Polymer Net Shield :xyxthumbs:

Whats next in detailing technology after permanent coatings?

The future is looking bright in terms on 'coatings' There are the mentioned self healing ones being worked on. I have been using a Rubber based coating that differ from Glass Coatings mainly in terms of water spot resistance. I get none or at least they clean off very easily. There are...

What is the BEST Finishing/Jeweling polish to use AFTER Meguiars 205 with a Flex or PC for that extra gloss?

HD Polish / Carpro Reflect / Scholl Concepts S40 are all great finishing polishes and have supplanted P085RD / 4500 for me.

Opticoat 2.0 discontinued, OptiCoat Pro sees price increase

I saw on another forum and read the same thing around 12-13 cc's. I just got 2 syringes and they look about that much. I also read that Gloss Coat will bond to 2.0 but haven't seen much talk of that yet. So if you have some on hand, you get best of both.

    Headlight Restoration-new UV sealant idea

I've been using the Glasweld GClear - I don't blame them for not wanting to warranty as there are too many variables they cannot control. I will say that it will last at least a year and many years if you follow the instructions spot on. Preferably indoors out of the sun. Then either UV cure...

    Ceramic pads

In my experience.. I too ran (still do) Akebono Euro Ceramics on the front and Hawk HPS on the rear (will switch to Akebono when done) of my '06 E90 BMW 3 series. Initially there is a break in period where when new they don't feel anything like stock, but once broken in they do feel and stop...

Applying EXOv2 on top of previous layers. How to prep?

EXO v1 was alot easier to apply.. almost like wiping spray detailer. EXOv2 is not hard but it has a window you have to work in. The characteristics are fantastic like you say, the water behavior, gloss is awesome and self cleaning. And it's much more durable than EXOv1.

Applying EXOv2 on top of previous layers. How to prep?

Similar thing has happened to me. I just polished the area and panel wiped the whole panel and re-applied EXO on the whole panel and it has been holding up just fine now since 3 or 4 months. I tried Eraser on another panel and it seems to be holding on the same. So i say you are good to...

    Gravity

I thought Gravity was great. I saw this when it first came out in IMAX and it was awesome! The effects were really something. I know people knock that most of the effects isn't factually real but I haven't heard any negatives about other space related movies. That's like saying stuff in Star...
