You need some cutting pads, microfibers are good and a good compound. Also a good compound, actually Meguiars Ultimate Compound would do if you want to keep costs low.

So many pads, my mind is spinning.... Is it really needed to go beyond the orange, white and black pad combinations? Maybe throw in a MF or wool for extra cut once in a while and that's about it?

At the end of the day the Rupes is still just another DA. Yes, it's a bit hyped up and maybe deseredly so with the larger throw but it's still missing the power. It's got the same size motor as the PC 7464xp, not even as much as the GG let alone the Flex. It's like a car...you don't always...

I have used the thick Buff n Shine pads and they grab like a mother. I have not used the LC pads.
