Those of you with bad backs, do you have a preferred DA?

I don't have a bad back but from what I read the rupes is supposed to be the most effortless.

Nothing other than the forums I have been following online. Seems like a unanomous opinion.

    Buff N Shine Products

Hey Autogeek.net: When are you going to start stocking Buff N' Shine pads? Their microfiber pads are the best on the market now.

    Iron x snow soap

i don't think I have ever tried more than 2 onces. It foams up pretty good, I don't notice anything special in the way of removing contaminates but it does leave a shine. No worth the price though.

Nanoskin or SM Arnold or ??

I would recommend the Nanoskin washmitt not the pads. The pads marr the paint quite a bit.

Microfiber pads. First hand accounts needed

I have Optimum and Meguiars and I prefer the Meguiars. I just got some Lake Country but have not tried them out. I LOVE microfiber pads on my Griot's, I probably would not use it anymore without the microfiber pads. In particular I love the Meg's Finishing Wax with the Finishing Pad for a...

    Nightmares about the shipping peanuts

Just picked up my latest delivery from UPS last night. Opened the box in the car and now I have shipping peanuts everywhere. I hate those things. Can't wait to clean my car out this weekend and get those things out.

These pictures were from day one and we were just getting started, wait to you see some of our later work. Mike teaches an excellent class, 26 years of detailing knowledge scrammed into 2 days and it's a lot to soak up. Mike starts the class by telling us that he will pour his heart and soul...

Starting a petition - No more packaging peanuts

Just got my most recent autogeek.net order in the mail yesterday, 2-Detailer's Pride air fresheners and 2-Lake Country microfiber pads. I was happy with the order but.... I hate those damn packaging peanuts. Am I alone? Can we just go to paper by default for all orders? Then, if someone...

    Pinnacle Bodywork or XMT Shampoo?

Not sure what to tell you except that I am the one that washes the car and sees the results. You are welcome to come here and perform your "squeaky finger test" the next time I wash my car. I can only report on my experience. Clearly you have a different experience but that does not mean...

    Pinnacle Bodywork or XMT Shampoo?

I am not so sure I believe that. I applied Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant about a year ago and it still beads. Maybe you used too much soap, in that case anything would strip the wax.

    Pinnacle Bodywork or XMT Shampoo?

Neither. Chemical Guys wash and gloss, you won't be disappointed.

XMT 360 - Little to no correction ability

Thanks Mike. I was assuming that XMT 360 had the same characteristics as M205 as per the Autogeek compound comparison chart. Is that fair or is it a different ball game since it's a cleaner/wax? I also assumed that I could get more cut with an orange pad and a rotary, did I go wrong there...

XMT 360 - Little to no correction ability

Nick: Your write up was one of the reasons that I was so excited to try out this product. Mike Phillips also has one on a Toyota as well. I never considered the Meguiars product, I'll have to give that a try. What's AutoGeek's return policy on chemicals. I have two bottles of this that...

XMT 360 - Little to no correction ability

I have been stocking up on this product with all of the XMT BOGO's and finally had the chance to use XMT 360 on a project this weekend. I hit it with the Flex and an orange pad. Then I went to the rotary with the same orange pad. I did not see much going on here. Very little correction and...
