Microfiber Pad On A Rotary - Don't Do It!!

To the contrary my friend, some products just don't work as well as others. The problem with your statement is that all products are not created equal. Why fight the microfiber when the foam pad works just as well and is a pleasure to use. Microfibers are for DA's only in my book after...

Microfiber Pad On A Rotary - Don't Do It!!

I spent the day detailing a relative's car today and was experimenting with different pad and chemical combinations. I settled on the Meg's microfier system. Just for fun on a side panel I tool an Optimum microfiber pad on a side panel and yikes! It was so difficult to control. I don't hear...

    Rotary W/White Pad = DA W/Orange Pad

Ok, so after my last post a number of you have me convinced that the DA might still have it's place in my practice. I have had a number of days to think about it and I guess that maybe I have been taking the wrong approach. Mike - I am even more convinced that I need your class now! So let...

I used Armor All, yes I did!

Back in 1991 my first car, a red Isuzu Impulse was Armour All'ed to death every week. Inside and out. Remember the black plastic/rubber bumpers? If I recall it even had a black plastic side rail. Still, I loved that car more than any other I have owned.

Why would anyone use a DA for paint correction??

I use the LC CCS. I have heard the flat pads are easier but I have a ton of CCS and I can control them fine.

Why would anyone use a DA for paint correction??

I guess I need to go to Mike Phillips classes because I have not had the same experience. The rotary is ALWAYS MUCH FASTER and in my experience the maximum correction and gloss. I have not been able to do my car in less than 8 hours with the da versus 5-6 with a rotary.

Why would anyone use a DA for paint correction??

Why would anyone use a DA for paint correction?? So I just spend the afternoon yesterday putting a shine on my daily driver. I spent about an hour working through different polisher/pad/chemical options before proceeding to do the job. I ended up with the Flex 14-2-150 rotary with a white...

I love autogeek but I have two complaints...

JAF06SE - Appartently I am not like you, I don't think I need more posts or words to defend my point. Additionally, I don't like to piss and whine. You must be a pleasure to have a conversation or arguement with, always need to get in the last word? Let me guess what you will be doing this...

I love autogeek but I have two complaints...

Well, maybe I ALWAYS get the wrong person on the phone. Whenever I call, and even if they agree to match the price AG shipping is always more. Besides with that amount of hassle it's just easier to order for ADS or Chemical Guys on those occasions.

I love autogeek but I have two complaints...

I think that I first became an autogeek customber back in 2007. I was amazed at all of the cool car detail products under one roof. As time has gone on I have continued to purchase more and more to the point where I have quite an extensive collection of tools and I buy about $100 of products...

scratches still there after using flex 3401

Maybe those scratches are too deep to get out. See if they catch your finger nail, if so then they are too deep to get out. The flex is pretty strong to get the job done. Sometimes, some area need more than one section pass. For example, I have used a wool pad and 3 section passes on the...
