    Griots Garage Products

There are a few Griot's products that I use and highly recommend. As Gunslinger said about their Best of Show wax, it's great and lasts a decent amount of time, but it's a *real pain* to buff off. I used it on my Tornado Red VW Jetta for several years and it was great. I now use Pinnacle...

How to keep swirls off of Porsche paint?

I have the same swirling experience with a 2001 Boxster S that I detail for a colleague. I use generally the same products and process that you use, with the difference that I use a two bucket method and I use a car wash soap instead of just the foam from the gun. I don't know what the...

Wheel Cleaner that won't strip wax?

I use warm water and car wash soap. This is usually more than sufficient if the wheels are in good shape. I track my car and run BBS wheels and race-spec brake pads - and this process has worked well for me for years. As for waxing, I use the DP Wheel Wax on all of my sets of wheels (track...

    2008 Vw Gti

How well did the Optimum polish deal with the light swirls? VW/Audi uses a hard clear and it's usually a lot of work getting swirls out. It's tough keeping this swirl-free:

    Interior

I really like the DP interior cleaner. I've even given it to friends to use on their cars. It works quite well on pretty much any surface and smells quite good. I'll have to give the Folex a try on carpets.

Going to Destin FL, what to do/eat?

There's lots of shopping in Destin, if I remember correctly. And the beaches are nice!

    Greased Lighting

I've used this on wheels and as a general APC. It works well and is usually slightly less expensive than Simple Green or similar at my local Pep Boys. If you're getting it at the dollar store, you really can't beat the price!
