The key is to let it sit and rinse thoroughly after. And I mean THOROUGHLY. No need to go crazy with the hose though. Just let the water sheet from top to bottom and get to the cracks of the doors/hood.

I have both and it's nice to have both. I use Diablo as my go to cleaner. But for customers that stick around while I detail, it's always fun to pull out the SFE ;) As mentioned by the OP, with agitation, they generally garner the same results anyway.

On a side note, I take back my opinion on Sonax. While I don't think it's very cost effective, it worked very well on some Lexus wheels I did today. I suppose my prior use of the product was on wheels that weren't particularly dirty/caked with brake dust and grime. Still, I think I'd need to...

Seems you did your homework! You got your tools, shampoos, polishes, and opti coat. Did you get anything for your wheels/tires? Something like TUF Shine's Clearcoat or a sealant for your wheels? And I would HIGHLY suggest the Universal Pad Washer :) I have yet to have anyone that has bought one...
