Without knowing too clearly how bad your engine bay is, safest route would be to dilute your favorite APC well (10:1 to start perhaps) and start off weak. Always better to do it slow and safe, than go strong from the start and cause damage. Snap a pic if you can.

Nice! I have the White and I've only used it on my white Fit, with not as noticeable results. Then again, it's hard to notice much on a white car that's already up-kept. But it is cheap and I still plan to use it.
