Claying a white car without polishing afterwards?

As CM8 said, just use lots of lube and you'll be good. I have a Taffeta White Fit and I go crazy with the spray and clay for a good 3-5 minutes on just one small section. 'Til this day, I've yet to wipe and see any marring.

    CG Honeydew with Gilmour Foamaster

I have the quart size and generally, I keep it on the E setting (12oz/gal), which equates to about 3oz of product and fill the rest with water. To make sure that you don't sud over before screwing the top on, I just fill the container with water just slightly before the brim, and pour in 3oz...

    Underhood Clean-Up

Without knowing too clearly how bad your engine bay is, safest route would be to dilute your favorite APC well (10:1 to start perhaps) and start off weak. Always better to do it slow and safe, than go strong from the start and cause damage. Snap a pic if you can.

2000 Tacoma daily driver + Meguiars White Wax Review

Nice job. How long did the job take you? And I agree on all points about the wax. I think I hate the tube it comes in the most.

    First Impression: Meguiar's Black wax

Nice! I have the White and I've only used it on my white Fit, with not as noticeable results. Then again, it's hard to notice much on a white car that's already up-kept. But it is cheap and I still plan to use it.

    Flex 3401 or rupes bigfoot.

Reading around page 8 (I have yet to finish this thread), someone was mentioning not liking the Flex after using MF pads on it. Others were also saying/speculating that MF pads will/would work better on the Rupes. Can someone explain to me why MF pads w/the Flex is no bueno?

Trying to detail as a part time

In my personal experience, I request it before hand. I give my "customers" (usually friends and family) the option to either have me go to them, or them come to me. As Nicholas mentioned above, they understand that we're in mutual agreement that they get to stay at home and relax as I detail; in...

    Review: XMT Polishing Pad Cleaner

I'm with you on the atomizing of the product. I don't know why it was beyond my logic to transfer it into another bottle... I will definitely be doing so immediately. Great review and definitely a product I love.

Hello from the paradise known as Hawaii!

I know intro threads are one-in-a-million but it doesn't hurt right? Name's Jordan and I'm from Hawaii (Oahu to be exact). Just picked up a 2012 Honda Fit earlier in July and have been in love with it. As with anything you love, you want to take care of it and I thought it was time to step up...
