What about M205? user friendly for the beginner? And from what I am reading it appears as if I need to try both DAT and SMAT product and choose my own preference. But is their one that's best to start with?

If you wash the pad using the bucket washers, can you immediately return to using it on the vehicle; or do you want to only use a completely dry pad?

jvanseeters, Any update on using the pads with other products? Do you still like the Microbuff system? I just bought the 5" system for myself to use on a GG 6" Orbital with a 5" plate. I only have 2 of each pad, I hope that's enough.

Mike, In other articles you recommend to stay off of body lines and/or apply protective paint on top of them. I notice in this how to, you didn't apply the tape to the body lines on the hood. Did you compound/polish over top of them or avoid like your other articles suggest? And if so, can...

Does anyone have any tips or tricks to keep Iron-X off of the brake components without having to remove the wheels? I was thinking about using aluminum foil and reaching through the wheel to wrap around the components.

I think that's too high. At that price you are practically eliminating any interest from the shade-tree/daily-driver. They better stop around the $180-$190 mark.
