    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

With the amount of salt cars get in them around here you'll find any kind of rusting you could imagine. Before my Miata I had a 2000 Subaru Impreza that had a rust hole so large I could fit my fist through it. And only 8 years since being manufactured!

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

Here is WNY in general. I've lived in both Buffalo and Rochester. And when you can't afford shiny new cars, things do still rust =p ... And not all underbodies are completely rust-protected, even today.

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

Heh, didn't realize you were a WNYer (didn't read most of the thread lol) Can't really say how 845 will hold up in the winter but it's what I'll be protecting the boat with when we take it out of the water. Winter in WNY isn't bad.... so long as you have a nice cheap beater >.< The salt here is...

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

I'm talking fiberglass - buffing wax onto fiberglass cleans deeper than just washing with a water/wash solution mix... I didn't mean cleaner like the "Meg's Cleaner wax" type, just as a means of removing dirtiness by buffing the 845 on.

    Collonite 845, 915, 476 Experience/Recommendations?

I use 845 for boat details, it's fantastic for the purpose of cleaning, shining, and protecting... never used it on a car's paint though.

    APC+ paint and wheel safety?

Thanks for the advice, I've always done a full wash on the wheels but yesterday I just wanted to give them a quick clean since I was only QD'ing the paint and didn't want to spend the time grabbing the hose and bucket, hence only APC+'ing them and not knowing how to properly ONR-wash them.

    Finish Kare #425 Review

+1 I forget where it says but I remembered reading this as some directions for UQD. UQD really needs the clean cloth swipe as it will likely haze up/streak otherwise, but using the same cloth there were very few streaks with #425.

How Do You Safely Remove Snow & Ice?

They use the snow-brooms at a lot of dealerships in WNY, I bought a bunch for my family last year. Very sturdy and fairly safe on your finish. It'll scratch if you go to town, of course, but a little rub here and there is nothing a good polishing won't fix when the spring thaw comes.

    APC+ paint and wheel safety?

I used 10:1 to quick clean my wheels yesterday and it left some residue, the step of "rinse afterwards" is pretty important.

    Finish Kare #425 Review

I've just used Meg's QD and UQD, I'll UQD once every week to prepare for a show and wax once a month.

This handles like yours for under 50k =p Bilstein shocks, MS springs, race sways coming in shortly and I'll be going coilovers in the spring. Ceramic Brakes for when stopping is needed. 2.5" custom SS exhaust as well, makes a nice purr. Zoom Zoom ^_^

    Meg's Consumer vs Professional writeup

So I got home, took a look at all the my family's cars... and none have need of compounding lol. I'm getting in touch with some friends to see if they would like a quick free hood cleaning =p. EDIT: Found the perfect car for it, just need for it to be back on the road, lol - it's getting a full...

    Jelly Blade

I agree, if the surface is correctly protected and you can sheet water off than ID go that route.
