    Meg's Consumer vs Professional writeup

I'm looking at my family's and friend's cars to see what's really scratched up, I doubt my car needs anything more than a very simple polish to be lsp ready. If nothing is scratched heavily than I'll probably step down from yellow-orange to orange-white. I got the meg's bottles from AG, yep...

    Jelly Blade

Notice that those guys were wiping the blade for water and grit after EVERY SINGLE SWIPE on the paint. If you've got that sort of clientele than you must be doing something right, I'd wager. I wash my Cali blade before every time I use it, I find it super helpful to compliment microfibers, so...

    Meg's Consumer vs Professional writeup

Hey guys, I've used UC and NXT 2.0 a bunch of times and really enjoyed it. I have been told, though, on my dark blue colored car to use swirl-x in order to get a better finish than just UC-LSP. Feeling this sounded fair, though content with how the car came out with just UC-LSP, I picked up some...

    Autogeek Banners!

25 is really not a bad price at all for a good quality banner, I see Meg's ones go for 40-50 in resale (you can only get them on promotion, I tried getting one with Meg's directly.... no dice =p ) My only complaint is that I've already made 2 orders over a hundred bucks each over the last...

Good deal, thanks for all the info!

    Keeping dirty/clean towels separated

Keeping dirty/clean towels separated Hey guys, what do you use, when out on a job, to keep your clean and dirty mf/terry towels separated? I mobile detail out of a VERY small car (have to remove the passenger seat to fit everything) and I have a lot of trouble figuring out how to keep the...

    What should follow UC?

I just ordered a swirl-free kit from AG with 105/205, so when it comes in I'll offer a comparison on my blue car for UC/Swirlx and 105/205.

    What should follow UC?

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I'll go pick up both products tomorrow as well as another bottle of UC as I'm running out, and I'll see how a test spot turns out on my Miata.

    What should follow UC?

Well I've ran the entire car with UC and NXT 2.0 before and I liked how it turned out, but I've been told to do a polishing step after the UC to bring out the shine more. I'm probably going to do a half and half and then see how I feel about the UC vs UC-swirlx.

    What should follow UC?

I'm just looking to change around my process for lower-price details. I've been using UC then LSP (NXT 2.0 Paste) but I'd like to step it up a bit without going to non-OTC products for convenience and price. My first test car will be my 99 Miata, so-so paint, lots of surface scratches, deep blue...

    Rx-8

Probably the best looking non-race spec RX-8 that I've ever seen! Great job with the detail!

    What should follow UC?

I can also get Mirror Glaze 1-4 locally if you feel that a 4-3 combo would be better with a PC than UC-swirlx.

    What should follow UC?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a consumer-line polish follow up to UC, I can get Meg's Scratch-X 2.0 and Swirl-x locally, which would be better? Application is with a PC. Thanks!

    Mk4 R32

By the way, I applied APC+ to the engine bay plastics after that picture to smooth out the streaks (that you can see in the picture) that popped up when I used Supreme Shine Protectant.

    Mk4 R32

I agree! I've spent quite a bit on my exhaust for my MX-5 and I wish it sounded half as good as his R32!

    Mk4 R32

The OP was asking if UC was good as a one-step then LSP, and I was saying that UC is great as a one step and showed these pics as evidence, and the posters complained that it looks dull and that I should have used a polish after the UC, even an OTC like Swirl-X to make the finish shinier.

    Mk4 R32

Hey guys: I did a detail on this R32 Tuesday. To keep prices down I've been using UC as a one-step compound/polish and completing with NXT 2.0 as my LSP. When my business gets enough recognition I'll step up my techniques, products used, and prices. Right now I'm doing what I can to keep prices...

    Sunshine Detailing

Thanks a lot for the information - I always wash and do buffing by small panels when I'm in the sun. It was about 65-70 yesterday, and partly cloudy, so there wasn't a huge amount of time spent in the sun, but generally I've found that it happens. I've been borrowing a canopy and bringing it...

    Sunshine Detailing

I hear a lot of different things about how a car shouldn't be detailed at all in the sun, but I've heard very few actual reasons why that is. Can anyone share some information as to why detailing should be avoided under direct sunlight? Canopies can be a pain (Right now I'm running my entire...
