    Simple Green as pad cleaner?

I let the pads sit in the watered down SG for a couple hours, just went out and hosed them down, 85-90% of the compound/gunk is gone, they look 100x better. I've got a CCS dual action package from AG coming in with the labor day special so I'll use a bit more careful of a cleaning technique...

    Simple Green as pad cleaner?

I'm giving it a soak in diluted SG and then I'll agitate it with a brush and see how it comes out. I can't get any pad washing solutions locally and I need the pads to be good for Monday.

    Simple Green as pad cleaner?

Hey guys, I picked up a concentrated gallon of Simple Green today, I just wanted to know if anyone soaks their flat foam Lake Country pads in Simple Green with agitation to clean the product and gunk off the pads? I've got some caked on stuff and I'd like to get them looking and functioning...

    1990 Black Skyline GTR

Nissan couldn't sell them in the states because safety/emissions were more restrictive here than elsewhere. They just couldn't get it to pass emissions so they left it out of the market. Because of the US law, though, the cars will soon be legal to import and register (happens when the car is...

Bird poop residue - in the clear coat?

Good deal, thanks for the words of advice. I got a whole array of fine sandpapers from AG in my last order, and they're really coming in handy!

Bird poop residue - in the clear coat?

Thanks guys, thankfully my Dad was pretty understanding about it. Neither of us had seen the spot before, and all of a sudden it was deep in the paint. I covered it up with as light a coat of touch-up paint as I could manage, and I'm going to even it down by wetsanding with some fine sandpaper...

Bird poop residue - in the clear coat?

Damn >.< Thanks for the advice, Mike. In order to change the appearance some, can I potentially cover it with touch-up paint and even down the touched up area to have the same color at least of the surrounding areas?

Bird poop residue - in the clear coat?

Hey guys, I was giving my Dad's 09 Sienna a wash today and noticed some deep bird poop residue on the hood - I washed, clayed, and tarminator'ed, and they did very little. I then buffed with UC and my PC on 5 for 5-10 minutes and I can still feel with my nail and see very obviously the issues in...

    Professional Training

 The before/after pictures that highlight certain brands or products have a lot more than just the product in them, they have the entire technique of the detailer, so it's hard to pick and choose brands from that angle. You've just got to see what works best for your technique and...

Red Porsche 993 RS CS Race Car gets prepped for show by the autoLavish Team

Stunning job, hope some other owners at that car show grabbed your cards and will bring you their own cars!

    Professional Training

For a beginning detailer, the Meg's line is great. Prices are low, there are lots of products available OTC locally so you don't have to have everything shipped to you, and the quality is awesome. I got into my own detailing (after I'd already learned at a detail shop) by ordering a PC and some...

    Professional Training

If you don't mind paying for the training, look for mobile detailers in your area (If there is an automotive enthusiast forum or club for your state than this is perfect for finding helpful detailers) and pay them to do a full detail on your car at your home. While they do it, take note on...
