    Removing spraypaint from alloy wheels

Thanks for the tips! I'm heading out shortly to get a smaller wheel tool and a powerball (even if it doesn't do the job on this my polished DD wheels really need to get their polish back >.<)

    Removing spraypaint from alloy wheels

I did, I'm starting to think I just need a better wheel tool to scrub the crevices rather than a better cleaning solution.

    Removing spraypaint from alloy wheels

Good deal, I'll look into both the ball and the cone.

    Removing spraypaint from alloy wheels

On these should I use any particular wheel polish or should I just use my standard Meg's ultimate compound?

    Removing spraypaint from alloy wheels

Hey guys, I have a set of BBS wheels that I'm doing a little personal cleaning/restoration project on. They were used in track form so they were covered in track pad dust and all kinds of other nasties. I got all but the most difficult pad dust off, but what is a good product to use to get the...

    British Racing Green

Great work! Interior looks fantastic! BRG really hides its color with contamination, I love seeing before/after shots of these types of cars where the color is revived.

    Broke my backing pad >.<

For their credit, DI priority-shipped a new backing plate, and only requested that I send them a picture of the broken plate. They just took a bit to get back to me. Meghan was extremely helpful and she was very available and responded speedily. +1 for DI, +2 for AG.

    Broke my backing pad >.<

Sorry, didn't notice this thread had continued... The 4 small foam connections just let go. The bottom section of the little bit looks all smooshed because I had to use a pair of vice grips to separate it from my PC as there was little else to grip.

That was the backing plate in question.

    Residue after UQD

Heh, you may consider it really strange, but actually I like waxes that only last 1-2 weeks - I really enjoy waxing my car that much =p - the sooner I can get that freshly waxed shine back the better, and a week seems to be a pretty solid time frame for me to that effect.

    Broke my backing pad >.<

Hey, as the title suggests, I was buffing some harsh spots today and my 6" backing plate split in 2 pieces, the part that connects to the buffer, and the part that hooks to the plate. Any chance there is some type of manufacturer's warranty on it? lol I'm not expecting much but I figured it...

    Residue after UQD

I'm used to night/morning dew, I'm just not used to it sticking and creating residue that has to be cleared away by me.

Okay, I mean in either case it came right off with a MF towel, I was just curious.
