I have 2 guzzlers and use them both open. First one on each side of roof, then both on each side of hood, trunk, then pat dry sides. Towels are never moved just blotted. Wife also washes mine with MF towels.

Is the hose coming from the top of the water heater or is it coming from the bottom valve? Just curious but it could be a drain hose. I think cold water is better. IMO
