Making 1st Costco trip... What should I pick up?

:iagree: So true. My wife got/is hung up on these Kuerigs. Got her one for Christmas four years ago and we are on our fifth one. The guy at the return counter got his wife one also around the same time and he has been through four of them also. My wife got me the 174-piece Craftsman tool set...

    minor rant... license plate mounting

Maybe what cop should have said is that sometimes the transponder doesn't record the "Cha-ching" so, my understanding is the camera on the overhang records the license plate and the toll is then still charged to the person with the mis-fired transponder. :dunno:Just guessing, could be wrong.

    Plasti-Dip on my paint... ?

Holy, Moly! Looks pretty darn good from here. Nice, even look and texture. I have a black '08 RAM I am thinking about doing some of this type of coating on. I was thinking about leaving it on indefinitely, using white for the contrast, and maybe using it to make racing stripes. I am still a...

How to clean windows without leaving streaks?

0000 Steel Wool, Stoner's Invisible Glass, and a couple of MF towels works wonders for me. I also use Stoner's Reach and Clean Tool on the inside of the windshield when needed.

Makita, Dewalt, or Milwaukee Cordless Drill

I have the Makita version of ShaunD's DeWalt, and like him, am happy with what I have. I'm guessing you would be as happy with Ridgid or Milwaukie. The thing is, though, you might take a look at the additional tools that take the same battery within each brand to see if one tool line holds an...

    Is the Sponge dead?

Saw this thread a little while ago. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/59587-sponge.html I've seen these sponges. I'm sure you know, if you're using a real sponge; it's already dead. :xyxthumbs:

heads up if you're looking to buy a pressure washer

I saw it and have been giving it some serious thought. I especially liked the quick disconnect fitting that was included that I could use with my "$5.00 foam cannon" that I got from HD when they were closing them out. And, like you say, you can't beat the Costco warranty. :iagree:

first time claying, first time waxing

I lived in Oregon, Montana, Minnesota, and Texas for years. Lived in Eastern Oregon for 15 of those years. They say the worst "ani-mules" you can hit in car is a horse/mule/cow/bull/moose/elk or a hog. A deer is one thing, pretty fragile; but the others just mentioned are something else...

first time claying, first time waxing

Once had an insurance guy tell me that, in the lower 48, more people are killed as a result of encounters with deer than with any other animal. As he told it, it's because people swerve trying to avoid killing the deer and end up going into the ditch or on a trip out "through the tules" or out...
