Sorry for the new question on Cleaner Wax

My guess is there are alot of dirt stain, old paint/ wax that the clay process alone cannot remove and using an abrasive polishing on such surface will saturate the pad really quick. In this instance, you really need to have extremely good habit by cleaning or changing the pad frequently -...

Vinyl Cleaning best products & tools.

One of my favorite interior tool is a unique scrub pad from autoglym- autoglym hi-tech hand pad. It is extremely gentle (much gentle than 3m finest scrub pad) yet agitates really well. However, i think it has already been discontinued. Magic eraser is probably the most abrasive product that I am...

    Menzerna SHCC300?

I beg to differ on the point with cut/finish. Having used many litres/gallon of m101/m105 and many other compounds, I still think FG400 produce one of the best finish with the amount of cut achieved. Of course it could be my technique and many other factors. If you need more cut, use a rotary...

(DA) 8mm standard throw vs. 12/15/21mm larger throw

Being an ex owner of 3401 and 7424xp and current owner of DAS pro (similar to griot), shinemate ero 600 and rupes 21, the machine I reach out the most is actually a 8mm DA. 8mm is just more versatile imo. I still prefer 21mm for paint correction on flatter panels but other than that, its 8mm DA...

    Anybody else not strip wash?

When I scrub my wax applicator pad with de-greaser on a wash board, the excessive wax/sealant in the applicator gets thinner and thinner and gradually dissolve. I know dish washing detergent isnt effective as most of the LSP still firmly attached to the applicator but isnt a good degreaser...

    Menzerna PG1000 - Help needed

Like you, I am not a fan of PG1000 though it worked okay for me in the past when I use it on a rotary and 4 ply wool. It is quite a dry compound so I prefer to work in smaller sections. I dont use it on a DA so can't help you on that. Jeremy

    Question on Counter Weight

Hmm.. I can suggest that to my friend but honestly it just seems so unsafe doing so. Imagine all the heat generated from a DA; the motion; a piece of metal potential flying out anywhere. Thanks Mike for the pic. The DAS is similar to the griot. On a side note, just want to say that buffing...

    New Meguiars Self Cleaning Bottles

These do clog especially when used with high viscosity polish. So far I prefer the spout version on the new menzerna compound bottle.

A few questions about the bigfoots.

If I am not mistaken, E version is simply the machine where as ES is a kit which includes other accessories like pad and polish. Dont quote me on this but please clarify with the seller. The 21mm with original plate will bog down easier at certain angle. If you adjust the pressure and keep the...

    Menzerna SF4000 vs Gtechniq P1/P2

Working Menzerna SF4000 by hand while it is possible will be extremely hard work to do it properly. If I have to work by hand, I would prefer something easier like a Autoglym SRP, Optimum GPS, Poorboy polish and seal etc.
