    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

Alright well i will check and see before i go to polishing the whole truck like this. If it wasnt for the waterspots i would drool over the coating. If i only knew about not to let tap water sit on there before i acually did it. NOBODY ever mentioned it ha. We might have just saved many people a...

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

I used a yellow pinnacle foam pad. If this removed it, its not much of a coating ha. I definitely dont have enough CQ left to go over the whole truck again. JEEZ this sucks!

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

Today i still didnt try the vinegar but i got out a foam pad and XMT#2 polish and went to work on my front fender. This did not touch the water spots. And by the way, i washed my truck today and was in shock cause it looked worse after i washed it than it did all dusty. But the XMT #2 didnt work...

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

The only reason i use these coatings is because everytime i dry my truck after i wash, i end up with micromaring from my drying towel. I do not have a WW but i use a high quality microfiber towel. With CQ, i do not get these after i wash. and it is my DD, i also love the hardcore water...

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

I have no tried vinegar yet because i have been very busy this past week, I did wash again and dried each panel after i rinsed. The water spots were still there and they are not going anywhere. I guess i wasted my money on this product, when i couldve just kept using my sealant because it never...

    confused about washing after polishing

I never wash after polishing because if reverses your work you just did, ANYTHING that comes into contact with your paint will leave some sort of marking. I can do the most gentle wash/dry you could imagine and i still get micromarring after a wash, that was until i applied C. Quartz, but thats...

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

Thanks richy! I will definitely try that, but other than that the truck looks great with C. Quartz, and after a wash today, no swirls, no micro marring, and hardly any water left on it before drying! I will try to get around to trying the vinegar tommorow, this will not hurt the coating in any...

    HELP, water spots on C.Quartz

Okay so i applied C.Quartz exactly a week ago, so i waited the full 7 days before washing with soap. I did spray off with water every day after day 2. I did not dry because there was still surface dirt and stuff that didnt get washed off but for the most part c quartz is very self cleaning. I...

Finally put some new wheels on

I ride in the woods all the time with no problems, its not hurting the truck because its already bottomed out, its crushing my bumpstops down with no weight in it. So i have no clearance issues because the tire cant go up in the fender any higher. Everybody in my town does this, its called the...

Finally put some new wheels on

Leave it like it is! Big tires with just enough clearance look soooo much better! Look at my truck in this pic, there is about 3/4 of an inch between tire and fender in the rear, 2" drop shackles and factory blacks flipped. Fron end-Tortion bars cranked all the way up. 35" BFG mud terrains.

You know your addicted to detailing when...

    Alternative to IPA wipedown

My paint always is sticky with IPA for some reason. I think next i am just going to foam with dawn or OPC and rinse VERY well and blot dry. I have dark metallic blue paint and i swear it shows marring more than black, its crazy hard to keep clean and swirl free.
