    What sparked your detailing intrest?

I always loved taking something and making it better and the jaw drop when someone sees their car when you're done makes it worth it.

    WooHoo!! Just ordered the 3401!

Hey, if you offered free shipping like AG...naaaah :D Excellent, I can't wait. I picked up a new AIO I want to try on my car next weekend. I used it on a customer's car this past weekend and it seemed to work well, so I want to see if it works better with the Flex. Now I'm super anxious...

    Hard water spots??

Fine steel wool will get it off the glass. Like 000 or 0000.

    WooHoo!! Just ordered the 3401!

Yeah, I was curious about the vibration. With the PC I always use anti-vibration gloves especially when I'm running it on 5 or 6.

    WooHoo!! Just ordered the 3401!

Pretty excited to get this and see what the machine can do, hope I'm not disappointed. I've used the PC 7424 for 3 years now and have been able get excellent results and correction, but now I'm looking to speed things up a bit and hopefully get a little more correction ability. I've checked...

    Milk odor removal

Oh yeah, baby seat is already taken apart and being cleaned. What are some specific enzyme cleaners that anyone has used? I've been looking on line and found some along with ozone generators and some chemical chlorine dioxide generator. Just debating what to try because the car smells like death.

    Milk odor removal

Eeesh, so apparently my 4 year old popped the top off of his cup and spilled some milk without telling us and the stink has started to set in. Still trying to determine where it was spilled because there was no obvious stain on the leather or the carpet. It might have just been in his car seat...

Taking the 'soft' out of soft touch car wash

Thanks. This wasn't a touchless, it was brushless so it has all those flaps in them or whatever they are. Haven't been through one since the early 90's. :D

Taking the 'soft' out of soft touch car wash

No sun. Gray day yesterday. It was sunny in the morning and by the time I wrapped it up and got it outside it was overcast which is why the color looks a little washed out. I wish the sun had been out because it looked beautiful. He wanted it detailed before he put it away for the winter. I...

Taking the 'soft' out of soft touch car wash

I detailed an M5 this weekend (beautiful car) and the owner brings it through a car wash 3 times a week, not a touchless. Ugh...the car shined until you got near it and it looked like someone washed it with a scotch-brite pad. Brutal. I though I had some great shots, but apparently my camera...

    Yukon abused paint

LOL, funny you say that...guess what I did last weekend? Brought the chainsaw, hedge trimmers, and leaf blower over there and cut everything back to make it about 10' wide now.

    Yukon abused paint

Several times actually. :D I wish I had done interior before and after shots too because it was almost as bad. Definitely an experience. I had detailed many vehicles before that, although none that bad, but I was able to really test some different techniques, processes, and combinations to...

    Yukon abused paint

Thanks and yeah, it earned me some brownie points and got me two follow up detailing jobs. :) As far as the process goes, I had bug and tar the entire vehicle. After that I clay barred to get ready. The products I used were Optimum Hyper Compound, then Optimum Polish, Clearkote Red Moose...

    Yukon abused paint

It started off innocent enough, my wife asked if I would detail her parent's Yukon as an anniversary gift...I agreed. Well, they live in the woods and the driveway is two parts and over 700' long so I was never really closer than maybe 100' to their Yukon and they always drove their car over...
