I love my new Flex 3401

You can if you're careful. I think there are numerous folks here that have done that. The other thing I've seen done is shaving down the backing plate a little. There's a thread on that too.

I love my new Flex 3401

Yeah, the Flex will definitely take you for a walk. One thing to note, when you really apply the pressure to the Flex, feel the paint after it...it'll be seriously hot. Just be careful around the edges when you're applying that type of pressure or doing that on a bumper. I could see burning...

I love my new Flex 3401

Were you using more pressure than you would with the PC skipper? Glad to see you got another vehicle to try and that you're getting used to it! :)

Suburban Paint Correction using Optimum Hyper Compound and Hyper Polish

Very nice job! After doing a correction on my in-law's heavily scratched and neglected Yukon I know the type of time you put into that.

Used my Flex 3401 for the first time

I've been looking into the same exact thing and what I'm leaning towards is actually this spot-buff kit that you can use either with the DA or a drill. For the small areas that you need it for I'm thinking that the drill might be a good option and more maneuverable. CCS Spot Buffs 4 Inch Foam...

Used my Flex 3401 for the first time

Good deal, glad to see that you finally got a chance to use it! I have my brother-in-law's black Expedition lined up which is in BAD need of paint restoration. I told him I'd give him a freebie if he let me have his car for a day to play with. :D

How to remove Black Streaks on RVs?

7-11 through the RV dealer works good along with a cleaner called Reliable. If you're waxing it, that should take it off as well.

    Mobile Detailing

Fuel Surcharge...everyone did it last time it went to $5 a gallon. Any service that was mobile did that, florists, UPS, Fedex, etc. The double edged sword though is it will effect your clients as well so they'll be looking to cut back or cut out services they don't need. It'll be interesting.

    Oooops

Driver and rear seat passenger were both fine. This was posted a while back on an rv forum I'm on and it was actually a guy driving with his family. New to towing a 5th wheel and was turning around in a bank parking lot. Whoopsies.

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

I find the cobras more...workable I guess. I get a lot more use out of the pad before I need to clean it and it seems to hold more product yet very resistant to caking up. Example, with the pc and Optimum Hyper Compound and an orange pad once the compound was broken down I could make a quick...
