LOL, that's awesome! I've been trying to figure out what else to stuff in there...my PC would be a good answer.

    PC 7424XP Questions

No problem. Everyone seems to find what's best for them and really try different things. I haven't used the XMT line yet. I've worked with PoorBoys, ClearKote, Meguiars, Optimum, and just picked up some Pinnacle during the 12 days of Christmas here. :) As far as wax, I use ClearKote and...

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Just took some getting used to. Yeah, I actually switched over to the cobra pads and like those better. I started with the LC Flat Pads and tried the CCS and...eh. They were ok, but the Cobra's really grew on me and I love them now.

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Got it, thanks everyone for the input! Turned out to be multiple things: temp, interim pad cleaning (never had to do that before), and pressure/polisher angle. Worked on my trunk tonight and was able to dial it in and get it working. Appreciate all the help again!

    PC 7424XP Questions

Order you'd want to go in is really most aggressive to least aggressive when working with compounds or polishes. After that it would be glaze, sealant, wax. Now you can use either a sealant or wax as your last step or both. If you use both, it's always sealant, then wax. Good luck, you...

    Brand new primer parts

NO, just leave it be. That could just cause problems with the paint bonding down the road. The panel should be prepped/degreased/tack clothed before paint anyhow, but I'd advise against it. No need, the panel is protected with the primer.

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Garage was about 60ish degrees. I didn't have the heat on, but that's about the temp I normally work in, sometimes a little warmer. 07Zoh6 - good to know about the pressure. I kinda learned that as I was doing the hood, it seemed the machine was happier letting it do the work. Hopefully I'll...

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Gotta love technology. :) I started with a single dime size which is how I usually use the Optimum. From there I tried using a straight line across the pad as well as three dime size spots and they all seemed to dry up about the same. In all the years I've used a machine, I've never cleaned...

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Funny you mention that, I've never polished this car before. I picked it up used in the summer and just have been busy with other cars that all I did to mine was wax it. I think I might pull out the PC and see if I have the same issue. Good thought man!

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Yes, having a heated and lit garage is helpful! :D I did check out the videos available and product-wise, it looks like the same amounts are being used for either the PC or the Flex so maybe I was just caking up the pad when i used more.

Yup, forgot to mention that, I used the XMT conditioner that came with the package.

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Yeah it would be nice for more videos, but I figure that the polisher has been out for a while and a number of people have gone from the PC to this so I can't be the first one to have this issue. My guess (hope) is that it's something that just needs to be done a wee bit differently like...

Trying to get used to the 3401, some questions

Got the kids in bed and the presents done so I finally got around to trying out my flex 3401 that I got about a week ago and I'm trying to figure out a few things here. Background, I've been using a PC7424 for about 3 years now and have achieved excellent results, but I stepped up to a 3401...

    Opinion's Needed ASAP

There's always other sales too with discounts and free shipping. Don't think you have to buy something now because you just received it...although...that's usually what I do. :D I find if I can make it past 48 hours without spending it I can usually have the patience to wait for something I...

:( no package for me today

At least they caught it and recognized that something was tweaked and they're taking action on it rather than leaving a jacked up box on your porch. Definitely sucks, I'm expecting my package tomorrow and would be upset too, but I'm sure that everything will work out for you...just delayed...

    Amazon Gift Certificates

Hey, just a quick question. I received a gift certificate for Amazon and saw that I can purchase items from Autogeek on there, is it possible to just buy it direct from here with the certificate?
