I'm with you Surfer, I also detailed all of my die-cast model cars....and multiple times to test different LSP's (with IPA wipe downs in between, of course) lol Also detailed several laptops. One with Poorboy's PWS and the others with Four Star UPP.

Since switching to the 5.5" pads, I don't even bother with the 6.5" pads I have anymore; they're just collecting dust. Stick with the 5.5" pads.

I've only used my 5.5" white LC pad a few times now, but so far I haven't had any problems with excessive heat. However, I have had product make its way through the pad to the backing plate, (Poorboy's PwS). I suppose you could always rinse off the backing plate when you're through....though...
