    First large order, any input?

I'll look at those pads. And I see.. I was hoping to go with something available on AG(So not perfecting polish) because Amazon is like $6 overpriced on it, but I can go that route. I was also looking at the 3D stuff, they looked great but since it advertises itself as an all-in-one type...

    First large order, any input?

What about six 6" and six 5" pads? I noticed the 6 pack of BOSS 5" is OOS. If you guys think all should be 5", I'll most likely go mostly LC. Other than that, still figuring polish/compound and I'll be done. EDIT: I am thinking BOSS Correcting Cream/Fast CC and Menzerna Super Finish Plus. Thanks!

    First large order, any input?

Also, does anyone have opinions on LC vs Boss pads? In the 5.5" I am looking almost half the price for the LC Flat pads

    First large order, any input?

Sounds good, only other question about soap since I am on that topic, is the Gyeon foam needed? I think now with Reset, it should be plenty in my foam cannon as the prewash foam and the actual 2 bucket wash.

    First large order, any input?

Sounds good. I'll get CarPro IronX. As for the towels, I'll take a shot with the Pearl for the price. Hopefully they're fine. At like $1.30/ea it's worth a shot. I think I'll go 5.5". Thanks for everything so far, still open to opinions of course!!

    First large order, any input?

I have 25% off the entire order, I don't think there will be better anytime soon. And the eagle edgeless towels are for general wiping, possibly the panel cleaner, etc. I'll respond to everyone else with a more detailed reply when I get back.

    First large order, any input?

Man, that's way more than I expected. But I'll consider going the 5.5" pad route. Really the only reason I wasn't going Griot's is because the polish is OOS at Autogeek.

    First large order, any input?

Thanks! Unfortunately the 1 gal is sold out. I'll look at Sonax. Thanks for the info! I have a 12 pack of TRC Pearl Coating Removal Towels on the way from Amazon, they were sold out here. I didn't think about that.. I'll definitely consider it. How many pads are actually recommended? I...

    First large order, any input?

Hello! I am placing my first actual large detailing order today to go with my newly purchased 2008 Miata MX-5. Just some info on the car, the paint is pretty rough and a few major panels(hood, trunk, front fenders) are new paint and clear coat. I am sure that affects what should be used. Also...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

I'm ordering 2 sets of pads, I'll probably order yellow and black and hope I don't need burgundy. I would just get a single burgundy but the single packs only come with some product. It is a Lithium Ion battery drill. The tool says 1200-2500 RPM and this drill is rated at 1900 RPM. I have a...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Just got it, looks great! Seems to have a lot of power with my Ryobi 18V cordless drill, but if I find I need more I have a PC corded drill. Should I just use it the way it is says, in terms of pads? The yellow polishing pads for both polishes and the black waxing pad for waxing? Or should I...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Well, I'm back. Haven't done anything yet. Between being sick and busy this last week was lost. But I should be getting all my stuff in the next few days and getting it down. I came back to say, I found a brand new sealed Meguiars Power System drill operated DA for $15 at the Home Depot...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

It looks like next weekend will be cloudy with no rain.. If that's the case I'll be so happy.. One more question I had, probably my last one before I start, what do I need in terms of towels. I'm going to get 3 applicator pads, a wash mitt and a waffle weave MF. Do I need some normal MF towels...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

That's what I meant, say if I wash and clay the car, apply and remove step 1 and then apply and remove step 2, could it sit overnight? I just have to wash it the next morning and apply the wax? Will do, I'll post when I actually get to it then post some pics when it's done.

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Our driveway is different.. It's a 1/4 mile long dirt road. Where we park the cars has trees over it, so the cars get covered in pollen and tree debris, but all on the side where they block virtually no sun. Our lawn is also different.. We have where we park the cars, then virtually all of our...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Yep, I won't be washing the car until next weekend so I got a lot of time to get that technique down. Another problem I have(Yes, another one..) is that I have no where out of the sun. It's usually 85-95F down here and we really don't have any shaded areas.. First off this is going to be...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Thanks!! I'll just try not to drop it then. ;) The clay kit comes with clay lubricant, only one bottle though. I believe all the local places carry it so it will be easy to pick up some more. Didn't think about that. Will clay the windows. Thanks again, I'll be back with more questions soon...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Got it. I'll just use the car wash. I'll probably grab a mitt just for that reason. If I'm going to spend hours polishing and waxing I'd rather not wear myself out washing. I will have help doing some of the car but still. So besides the products I'm going to get some foam applicator pads for...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

I was actually planning on spraying the car wash and having one rinse bucket but I'm leaning more towards just the 2 buckets, 1 with car wash solution and one to rinse. That's one of my problems, I can't get samples because currently I don't have an easy way of ordering anything. I'm not...

Beginner trying to get a good black finish.

Thanks for the info. I guess I got a long weekend ahead. I hate to waste your time, but do you have any exact products in mine for the "3 step system"? Maybe, eventually, I'll get a good polisher. But right now I can't justify spending $150+ on something that will be used 3-4 times a year. And...
