    Wheel cleaners, learned something...I think

For chrome wheels, just spend a day pulling them off and doing a full detail. Clean the inside and outside thoroughly with something like sonax, clay, polish to perfection, and finally put a coating on them like cquartz or opti-coat. From then on, you can just wash with car wash soap and water...

What kind of shoes keep your feet dry?

Crocs are perfect for detailing. Mine get cleaned with ARO followed by a coat of UTTG every once in a while for some nice low gloss sheen and great beading when washing cars.

    Cleaning new tires

Amazing Roll Off works well with the mold release on tires. Mist the tire with some water, spray ARO on, let dwell a minute and agitate. Rinse off.

    Dedicated Tire Cleaning Products?

I never use a wheel cleaner anymore on my own car. About 5 months ago I spent a day on just my wheels to make sure they were easy to clean from then on out. I first pulled the wheels off, cleaned them thoroughly with APC+ followed by a sample sized iron-x. Then clayed, polished with 205 and...

Other uses for waxes other than on cars?

those are only a few of the uses, thanks wikipedia. TX-100 is a great high HLB = 13.2 @ 10 % w/w surfactant that easily solubilizes fats and waxes. I've done a few formulations with carnauba and an amino functional polysiloxane that have worked well with TX-100. Very nice hydrophobic surface...

What do you not like to do on a detail?

I don't like to clean up after kids during a detail. Customers always call me saying their carpets need shampooing but are not that bad. I show up at their house, open the door of the car and crayon, gum, spilled drinks are everywhere. I then quote a price for the interior cleaning around...

What to do after it rains?

After it rains, I like to find a mud hole and drive my freshly waxed Jeep through it. The mud beading up on the paint makes me feel like the driver in a commercial.

Other uses for waxes other than on cars?

I wax my counter tops, stainless steel appliances, bathroom mirrors, sinks, house windows, billiard balls, softball bat, computer covers, etc. If it is non porous it gets waxed. I love bringing in the GG 6" with a black pad and an old bottle of wax to shine everything up.

    Need help with scratch

The first two pictures make it look like the scratch might be able to be removed by wetsanding a compounding. How deep is the scratch? Do you access to a heated garage where you can properly touchup, wetsand and polish it out?
