    I hate Corvettes!!

A test section is beneficial for 1 step. You can fine tune your approach before attacking the entire car and finding out you should have gone with a different approach. No 2 cars are exactly the same and sometimes a different approach is needed than your usual.

What to get with Flex PE-14?

These have been my go-to pads and backing plate since i picked them up. constant pressure pads in 5.5 are great to control and cut nicely. Flex-foam backing plate is amazing for control and keeping holograms off the curves. 3m low lint wool is the best wool i've used to date. It sheds about 10%...

Anyone know the paint hardness on new Jeeps?

The 2010 Wrangler has medium paint hardness. It is very easy to work on and get it swirl free even with a rotary. I've had success with 105/205 followed by 85rd all on rotary with uber pads.

Hey! What do you use to get it so shiny?

I tell them, "I have developed a pickering emulsion which allows shynium molecules to be encapsulated by unobtanium and then quantitatively transferred into a leprechaun plasma solvent delivery system which can be applied over the course of several hours to exponentially increase the reflective...

Can I layer 303 and Ultima Interior Guard?

That statement on the website seems to be a contradiction to all the instructions for vinyl prep directly above it on the page. The above instruction indicate to use a colloidal cleaning agent before applying the protectant.

Can I layer 303 and Ultima Interior Guard?

303 streaks on top of UIGP...I forgot that I applied UIGP a week ago and just did a wipedown of my dash with water followed by 303 on sunday. My dash is streaky now and needs to be stripped and redressed.

Optimum Auto Detailing™Bringing you the revolution of Car Wash

I agree with the CEO being a bit much...unless you are a corporation and have a number of employees then there isn't much of an executive part in detailing. It seems by the way you word things that it is a one man show. I also agree about people laughing at 189 horses under the hood. I know I...

Finally back and looking for suggestions

opticoat can be polished and cleaned with poliseal. cquartz can be renewed with reload. both of them have a system that works well with them. If you want to play with some products to see what works for you then leave the coatings for wheels, lights, plastics, and windows. That way you can...

Finally back and looking for suggestions

opticoat would be a great choice for the paint if you can get the paint absolutely flawless before application. I personally like cquartz for the ease of application and that it is not permanent so polishing it off annually can happen easily if i see a few swirls after a while. I think a coating...

Finally back and looking for suggestions

i think the 85rd will definitely add another level of gloss to your paint. my process would be as follows: wash thoroughly iron x clay every inch including wheels and glass 1 step with 85rd on a finishing pad with rotary jewel with a gold pad and 85rd to perfection carpro eraser to get rid of...

2007 Silverado clear coat really soft???

Instead of dragging the towel across the finish you can lightly tap the towel on the paint and pick up the water that is left behind. It will prevent drying from inducing scratches.

    scotch guard on alcantara seats?

I wouldn't recommend using scotch guard on alcantara seat inserts. Most the time a gentle agitation with a microfiber dampened with warm water is sufficient in keeping them clean. For some hydrophobic stains a simple ethyl alcohol wipedown followed by blotting with water gets the job done. One...

    Rust on wheels

por-15 would do the trick. just do what weavers said with the prep work and put the por-15 on the surface. It will hold up very well. Worked on the axles of my dodge which got dipped in salt water all the time and used to rust like crazy.
