How do you dry the truck? Do you flood rinse first and then blot the excess or do you wipe the water off? If you have access to a compressor or blower, it may help to first flood the paint as dry as possible followed by blowing the excess off.

Polish the car to perfection and leave it naked.

Get a new top from bestop...the wrangler tops are notorious for leaking even when they are new. My 2010 leaks above the doors and my friend's 94 leaks from the windshield gutter.

I've worked on them with a GG 6" and my Makita 9227cx3. Pad choice depends on the machine I feel like using that day. With the rotary, I normally use 5.5" uber pads and with the GG 6" I use LC 5.5" and 4" pads depending on the day and car.

I've had great success with the menzerna line on mercedes paint. You can get pretty good results 1 stepping the paint with SIP and an orange lc flat pad.
