IME Souveran repels ghosts with 1 coat, pirates and vampires with 2 coats, and zombies with 3 coats. A fourth coat will also repel werewolfs and the occasional unicorn.
The only real problem is that Souveran tends to attract elves that like to tell Santa that you need to be placed on the...
Do you have any pics of the imperfections? Odds are that it does not need to be wetsanded. New cars normally have pretty good paint and any rain spots on them can normally be removed with mild polishing. Your best bet would be to find a good detailer in your area to take a look and give you a...
Corey, your reviews have always been worth reading and have led me to purchase quite a few products including a few that will be at my doorstep this afternoon. Your hobby of doing thorough reviews has really helped the detailing community in knowing exactly what they are getting when they...
If you are worried about ruining your good stuff, I would recommend using a foam gun with something like CG citrus wash and gloss to break up the grime and stuff before doing your wash. As for clay, an Ultima Elastrofoam would be a good candidate so you don't go through a whole bar while doing...
How deep are the scratches? Can you feel them with a finger nail? What tools, compounds and pads do you have access to?
You may just need a compound followed by polishing to get them out, but there is a chance if deep enough that wetsanding will be the next option. If the scratches are through...
Ram paint is usually pretty easy to work on. I have not used the XMT line on a dodge before, but i have been able to deliver near perfect results using Menz SIP followed by 85rd consistently. As far as pads go, lc flat orange with the sip and a rotary followed by an lc flat black for 85rd on a...
I got lucky and had a customer buy me some expensive wax to play with on his ferrari 458 and bentley azure; both of them are white cars and he is the type of guy that only wants the best so he ordered a tub of zymol atlantique for me to use on them.
I do not feel like atlantique is worth the...
I use my steamer on just about everything except the paint and wheels when detailing a car. It works well for all trim, interior, engines, wheel wells, gas caps, exhaust tips, doorjams, etc etc.
Best tool i've ever owned for detailing.
Very easy car to detail. The paint is moderate hardness and responds very well to the menzerna polishes along with the meguiars twins. My PTG readings on the paint indicated a sufficient thickness for even the more aggressive approaches such as spot sanding RIDS. The headlights on the cars are a...
I would love to win this giveaway. My Jeep is in serious need of some TLC and $100 would go a long way in getting the right products to do the job right.
1) LC hydrotech 5.5" pads
2) Megs Unigrit 3000 discs
3) Megs APC+ gallon
4) Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner
5) Daytona wheel brush
IMO Dad's should always get a free detail. They made it possible for you to be here and detailing in the first place, the least you can do is keep their car clean when you can.
If you are using a sealant, you would be best not to use a glaze. Oils and polymers don't bond well. A natural wax is...
The GG polisher is a great choice, but don't limit yourself on pads and polishes.
I personally don't like the MF cutting discs (surbuf) because I can't get the hang of working with light pressure. I much prefer the lc hydrotechs for my polishing needs.
Also, 1 compound could be good for what...
