I feel like I scare possible customers away

Just throwing in my two cents (I had 4 wisdom teeth ripped out on Thursday so I have time to comment on berthing haha!). As others have said, you need to sell. My guess is that you use email/text because either you don't want to seem pushy or you don't really consider yourself a "people person"...

    Baggy test?

So did you feel a huge difference before claying compared to after claying when you did the baggy test? When I first did the baggy test on my daily driver (before my first ever claying) it felt terrible, like my cars surface was sand paper, but then after I jut felt a few random bits of crud. I...

If you're referring to uploading a profile pic i've been having te sane issue. Whenever I hit the "save changes" button I get "Upload of file failed.". I've tied using both a .png and a .jpg and they were both under the 150pixel and 34.2KB size limits. I'm uploading straight from my computer...

Detailing pics and camera phone photos don't mix

Just for the record, I did say that if you're taking a photo of a stationary object then a camera phone is fine, so long as you hit it with some light, either a very bright light or the sun. All that happens with a DSLR is you get more control. "the best camera is the camera you have with...

Detailing pics and camera phone photos don't mix

On an iPhone you can set basically nothing, this means the computer decides everything in an attempt to make a "nice" photo, not always an accurate one. It is the same as setting a DSLR to auto, push 1 button, photo should look nice. No one knows what's going on in there.

    HOW TO & Introduction Thread

Hi, newbie question about uploading a profile pic. Whenever I hit the "save changes" button I get "Upload of file failed.". I've tied using both a .png and a .jpg and they were both under the 150pixel and 34.2KB size limits. I'm uploading straight from my computer, not a URL, and it puts it...

Detailing pics and camera phone photos don't mix

I'm going to chime in here, as I consider myself a decent amateur photographer, something i've been doing for years, and I understand the mechanics of it very well. In my opinion, the 2 big advantages that a DSLR has over other cameras is: 1. They have much bigger sensors, this allows them to...

    Carpro wool mitt

I actually just received 2 carpro mitts the other day. One was like half the size (just like your experience). Maybe I got and old one and a new one... Got it from the Aussie distributor, so I assume this could happen as they probably move less volume than in the US. Strange though...

    m105 help

Those scratches really don't look "fine" to me from the pictures. They look like stones coming up from your wheels and scratching your car rather than swirls created by rubbing dust/dirt on your finish as you wash it. Do you know how these scratches were created?

    mothers clay, advice needed. (microfibre)

OK, so it's got 2 uses: 1. Fluffy side for use with clay (or other detail use) 2. Short nap side for wax removal Thanks everyone for the advice. Got some stuff in the mail today that i'll be cracking out and using, along with my mothers clay bar, on the weekend :)

    mothers clay, advice needed. (microfibre)

Ok, cool, thanks heaps, I used the fluffy side when I tried the clay out on my bonnet the other day, I think I was using too much of the lube (showtime detail spray) as the cloth got wet/heavy fast. Think my issue was not spraying any on the clay, so I'll do both clay and car next time, with a...

HELP! How do you polish your roof (if you're short/car is tall)

I used to stand on a recycling tub to wax my roof by hand, one day I slipped and my elbow hit the roof, made a dent, total FML moment. So now that I'm getting a DA polisher I'd like to avoid reoccurrences, especially if I was to work on a friends car!
