I went up to 3000 for fun of it on the top of my camper shell while it was on the ground. I used megs #84 and the edge orange pad w/a dewalt. 3000 is so ridiculously fast, and fun. I felt like i reached a peak of effectiveness around 2400 rpms. I did this in a really controlled situation...

I live in hippy heaven; you guys are going to have some serious competition when i get to my camera in the daylight. Some people here seem to use spraypaint more often than water on their cars. I'll have pictures in a couple of days.

This explains why when i leaned on the pads more, the orange would cut more than the green(i'm talking like WAY too much pressure). I really love the orange pad, it's by far my most used and abused pad.

Dealer car washes=BAD. When i picked up my new mazda3 a couple of months ago, i should have requested that to have them not touch the paint, but oh well. Tons of swirls, but that might depend on the dealership, but wouldn't take the risk.
