i think my mf cloths induce some swirl marks from time to time...inbetween my polishing with udm and hand laid nxt, i have used spray nxt to keep the just waxed look...i only use it after a wash and dry, then i use my compressor to blow off any dust prior to using the spray nxt...i spray the nxt...

since you have a brand new car, you shouldnt need more than a mild polish, any protectant, nxt works great, i would use white pad to polish pc speed 4-5, gray or blue pad to apply nxt liquid pc speed 2-3....

the reason you have less beading on a certain section of the hood is most likely due to more engine heat in that area, and it has either broken down the wax or evaporated it....

let me clear it up for you a little more...no dish soap, save that for the dishes....clay and polish will remove any wax or sealant you have on the paint... you can clay and wash in one step as well, so save yourself the step inbetween...wash a section of the car, then rinse it off, soap it up...

i usually take a papertowel that has been completely soaked in warm water and wad it up and set it down right on top of the crap....let that sit for a few minutes to soften and start disolving the crap...then wipe it away and follow with a clean paper towel or a microfibre and some detail...

wax and sealant is a wipe on wipe off process...no rubbing, no pressure....and no real need for a udm/pc either...but some use them...i use my udm for polishing, i protect by hand....

first off, if your a real perfectionest, your going to want to sand thoes headlights to make them look new again...now, if you dont want to do that, then yes, the clay will work from what i can tell...also, i have had great success using wd40 on tar as well...spray a microfibre or other type of...

dude, if you getting rid of the meg products give them to a fellow acuraziner....otherwise, your on the correct path, udm/pc is what your looking for, wash, clay, polish, protect....what color is your tl....i have the kenitc blue pearl, it might as well be black.....but i keep it swirl...

the poorboys professional polish can be used fine with the gray pad...if you desire a little cut then get the white pad, but the gray will do just fine....
