New lighting for garage... feedback welcome please!

I find that fluorescent lights are only good for general lighting, not for detailing. I find they cast too many shadows.

    Just purchased my LLC

Congrats! If I can make a suggestion regarding your website. I work in the IT field, however web design is not my thing, so I ordered a template that is designed by a professional company. It only cost me 60$ and it saves a lot of time when compared to designing your own website from scratch.

    1998 Accord - Part 2 - Exterior

This all depends on the paint and how well it reacts to the particular polish being used. You can't say that a specific polish will not leave the paint LSP ready as a general statement since all paints are different. It will also depend on the polishing pad used as well.

    1998 Accord - Part 2 - Exterior

Great work, car looks amazing! I have used Ultimate Compound myself with a PC and honestly I think it's probably the best Meguiar's polish right now. It's easy to work with and gives great results as a 1 step product. I use M105 with the rotary when I need to remove wetsanding scratches...

3M Headlight Restoration Kits and High Volume of Vehicles

I have restored several sets of headlights and honestly, I find the best way to do it is by hand. The problem is that certain headlights have very sharp corners, not all of them are nice and round like the car in the 3M video. By hand you have more control and can get in the tight corners.

Do I need to wash my car after I use detailing clay to clay the paint?

I was mainly concerned with the residue remaining from the clay bar lubricant soaking into the polishing pads and reducing the abrasiveness of the polish itself. Worst case I can wipe the panel with mineral spirits or IPA before polishing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us once again...

Do I need to wash my car after I use detailing clay to clay the paint?

Is the squeak test a good procedure to use in order to determine if the paint is really bare? Is it a reliable way to determine if anything is on the paint surface? When you mention that the first step after claying will remove anything left on the surface, do you mean any machine polishing...

cutting and polishing products - relative grits

Honestly, you should forget any Turtle Wax products, especially the polishing compounds, they are just not high quality. There are lots of great products out there to choose from, Meguiar's, Menzerna just to name a few.

Do I need to wash my car after I use detailing clay to clay the paint?

I believe I read a previous post by Mike P. in another thread stating we should not make rocket science out of everything and try to keep it simple. I completely agree with his statement. With that being said, let me share what I have noticed when it comes to claying. I washed and completely...

How about what a headlight restoration SHOULD look like!

Great job on those headlights! I use almost the same process that you do. Once the wetsanding is done and I have polished out the wetsanding scratches, I apply PlastX with a Lake Country white pad followed by a paint sealant. I have also had good results with this process.

    Canada Shipping Rates

Can you give us an idea as to how much you paid and the total cost of your order? I have ordered from AG as well and I payed taxes, however not brokerage fees. Those are 2 different things.

What to do about winter weather?

In that case I will definitely agree with you if we are talking about spraying used motor oil.

What to do about winter weather?

First of all our water is fine. The treatment that the cars receive is a special type of grease that sticks under the car, it doesn't just leak everywhere, it's not like motor oil. Around here these treatments are not illegal or anything, they are approved by the government, there are...

What to do about winter weather?

I don't know where you are from, however up here in Eastern Canada, we have crazy winters with tons of snow and salt on the roads. Most people that want to prevent their car from rusting to hell get the undercarriage treated with a grease. You don't have a choice up here, if you don't do it your...

    JDM front end conversion

Nice work on the Integra. As an owner of another 4th Gen Prelude, I really don't understand why he painted his car like that, but to each his own I guess.
