Wow, product recommendations sure do change in a year or so. It's been about that long since I've visited the forums, and back then everybody was recommending "Black WOW".

People may get a full detail once a year, but people get their car washed a dozen or more times a year.

What is your budget?

Yeah, I have a ton of microfibers. My question was more about quality. Are the cobra microfibers, for example, much better than cheap ones? Are cheap ones scratch more likely to scratch? Or is it the debris in the towels that scratch?

Why shouldn't the cheap towels be used on paint?

There are big packs of microfibers for cheap at Walmart. Are expensive microfibers really necessary?

I would get the better tool. You are going to have it for a really long time, so get the better one so you will be pleased for years instead of wishing you got the other one.

Did the car wash you took it to have a brush to clean your car with or something?

Are you sure the swirls weren't already there? I couldn't see swirls on my silver car during the day, but I could see them under even dim street lights at night. But I don't have swirls anymore.

You guys don't just wash it in the washer and put it in the dryer on a delicate setting?
