Question about rubber trim around windows and B-Pillar trim (with photos)

Not yet. I'm going to try using APC tomorrow. I've washed the van before and just used a soapy microfiber and a lot of elbow grease to try to get it off... didn't work. Which makes me think APC probably isn't going to work.

Question about rubber trim around windows and B-Pillar trim (with photos)

On the Sienna or Civic? If you are talking about the civic, it's literally like there is a waxy plastic-like coating that I can just peel away. I'm just afraid to peel it all back.

Question about rubber trim around windows and B-Pillar trim (with photos)

Its never been repainted. It does get pelted by sap though from a tree overhead and has only been washed in automatic car washes. Think it could be years worth of sap build up?

Question about rubber trim around windows and B-Pillar trim (with photos)

I have two separate issues on two separate vehicles. The first issue I have is on the rubber trim around the windows on a 2004 Toyota Sienna van. I'm not sure what is going on here: Can that be fixed? And here is an issue I have with the B-Pillar of a 2008 Honda Civic. It seems as if...

I started polishing..then... it starts raining...

Nope, no waterless wash. And I ran out of QD while claying.

I started polishing..then... it starts raining...

I polished the hood and then it starts raining out of nowhere. I washed it very good, clayed it, etc. It was a beautiful day and then bam. I had no wax on the car at all, of course. What now? Do I rewash it tomorrow or just dry it off after the rain and continue polishing?

Is this too much for light swirls?

I have Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0, Wolfgang Finishing Glaze, an orange light cutting pad, and a black finishing pad. I have light swirls in my 2008 Honda Civic. Would the orange light cutting pad with Wolfgang TSR be overkill? Or would that be about right?

Question about polishing with the Porter Cable...

Thanks for the response. I read the article, and I have another question. Can you further explain this section here: "Cut down on the amount of product AFTER pad is broken-in... After your pad is broken in with product, clean your pad after each section pass and when you apply fresh product...

I have only tried a couple of waxes. NXT 2.0 and Hi Tech Yellow Wax. I like them both. Can anybody recommend me some waxes better than these in your opinion, for the same price?

Question about polishing with the Porter Cable...

Ok, I have not received my PCXP yet... it's currently being shipped. In the meantime, I have been watching a lot of videos on how to polish paint correctly. I have a question... I have seen several different videos with Mike Phillips, and each time he adds polish to the pad differently. One...

What is best for removing light swirls from soft paint by hand?

I have Meguiar's #7 show car glaze. It works great, but I'd like to correct the swirls instead of temporarily making them disappear.

What is best for removing light swirls from soft paint by hand?

Well, I have been thinking about getting a DA Polisher. But the swirls are hardly noticeable, even at night under a street light at the right angle. So I figured I could save some money and get the light swirls out by hand. But a DA polisher would be a good tool to have. What kind of pads...
