the distortion as you mentioned is because he made to much heat to the glass, if i may say "work fast and quick money". For us (car enthusiasts and detailers) i bet we could work on the glass with caution and wouldn't mind take more time to make our car perfect. Just try it first by yourself...

completing ASPHALT ROCKET explanation... how to get rid off it is to find the correct pads, polishing product, technique when we first attempt 'test panel' before we go through polishing whole section.

I tried AG SRP and colorX use with green LC pad, it look nice too. even though like Mike Phillips said, not 100% swirl free. @flb18r if you want to master the rotary, probably try buying M205 or 3M ultrafina 06068 for swirl free and high gloss finish.
