    Scratches in metal/stainless

I have a Mercedes with these metal looking door sills that light up. It's some kind of polished metal. Any ideas on what to use to get the scratches out?

What Happened? Meguiars Microfiber vs Rupes Foam Pads

On the same rear bumper I tried a different spot with the foam pad and it took out all the defects faster and easier. I also tried the Rupes microfiber pads and they worked a little better than Meguiars but not nearly as well as the Rupes foam pad. This is my first week using the Rupes. What...

What Happened? Meguiars Microfiber vs Rupes Foam Pads

What Happened? Meguiars Microfiber vs Rupes Foam Pads I'm working on a black Mercedes 2011 E550. I tried out the 3" Meguiars white fine microfiber pads on a Rupes mini speed 4 on the rear bumper (first time using microfiber for correction) with Uber compound. I wasn't getting good results...

    Non-accessible Machine Area Technique/Products?

I've been out of the detailing world for about 5 years. A lot has changed and gotten so much better. The Rupes 15 I got in the other day is amazing, I doubt I'll use my rotary machines much now. I would like to know what would be the best technique and products to use for areas that can't be...

    Got my Kompressor pads

I bought these Kompressor pads based on reviews here and am very disappointed after trying them out. The first thing I noticed is that the rectangles making up the pad get twisted up leading to an uneven pad surface. You can tell they are not contacting the paint evenly by looking at the...

    The Dangers of Detailing!

Smoking is much more dangerous, it also worsens the reaction inhaled particulate has on the lungs.

    Product Recommendation Request

If you do get Werkstatt I would recommend the Acrylic Jett over the Acrylic Jett trigger, seems to be a little more durable, Trigger is a bit faster to apply though. Klasse is the old stuff, but still a nice product.

    Product Recommendation Request

If you want Klasse you might as well get the Jeff Werkstatt Acrylic line, it is the updated Klasse formula. It's easier to use, looks better, and more durable.

    Claying white paint nightmare

I'm guessing if there are little spots of rust this is something that was under the paint that got out, from contamination before painting or failure/defect of the paint.

    Claying white paint nightmare

People drive their cars unwashed for weeks or months with a lot of contaminants like you mention, wouldn't their whole car be full of these rust spots then?

Meg's Wheel Brightener or Poorboys Spray and Rinse

They both use the same caustic chemical Amonium Biflouride, so I don't know how it would be safer unless it was less concentrated.

    SIP or Intensive polish

Here's my take on SIP vs IP. I like IP more on a non ceramic clear coat. It seems to work longer and is smoother, just easier to use. Also I don't notice any difference in the end result when I use IP or SIP on non ceramics. Also IP is about half the price of SIP.
