just got some megs 105, im lost

Although your technique could be improved, from my experience using M105 on a Corvette it has about the same cut as Menzerna Intensive Polish which is a 5, Power gloss is an 8. 105 was definitely not a heavy compound, more of a medium. This was using a wool pad and rotary where I made these...

    Different brands = Different results?

IMO Xmt is not in the same league as Menzerna, sure Xmt will work but nothing at this time can beat Menzerna in terms of quality and consistency. There's a reason the German OEM automakers use it in their plants.

Wolfgang Fuzion wax suggestion for Max/Meghan

I think the main thing is that we just want to buy one at a time for half or close to half the price.

Wolfgang Fuzion wax suggestion for Max/Meghan

The refill thing does sound like a pain, what happens if you loose or damage the container and waiting a week or however long kind of sucks. Plus just the hassle of going to the post office to mail it is inconvenient. When I look at buying Fuzion I see it as one tub for $175 and maybe I'll end...

Wolfgang Fuzion wax suggestion for Max/Meghan

Actually I agree with the first post somewhat, I would be much more likely to buy Fuzion if they offered the 8 oz without the refill or the box for half the price so around $90. Reason being that I and probably most other people get bored with using the same wax for that long, after one tub is...

    Riddle me this....

Cobras lint for me, its really a pain when you use them on glass as those tiny pieces are hard to get off. I also have some towels from Pakshak and never noticed any linting.

    Meg APC+ Brake Rotor Safe?

Sounds like you removed the grease and junk from the rotors so the pad is grabbing them better. People do this all the time with brake cleaner.

Need Interior Help - Auto Geek Recommendation Destroyed my Buttons

3M adhesive remover will eat plastic so it would have probably done the same thing to the dash buttons.

Walked away from a Detail Job

After reading this thread I wouldn't let BenzDetailer touch my car and if I was that client with the half done job I would be pissed. By not finishing, all it says is this guy isn't good enough or doesn't know how to do the job right. Also he does not not have enough experience to know when the...

    I swear this is true

I've used it and it works well, I've even used it full strength to remove thick road tar for the last 10 years on my Vette and the paint is in great shape.

    I swear this is true

Actually adding a cup of kerosene to the wash is great for removing those tiny tar specs, and it's not bad for the paint but I would re-wax after doing that. It's just an oil, no harm at all in using it.

How the heck do you stop wiper chatter?

Anything on the windshield can cause chatter, use the wipers to remove water when it rains. As far as water spots, glass can be polished if they are bad, otherwise you can keep a QD with you in the car to wipe them off.

M105 old formula vs new with rotary, hand?

The old one apparently had more cut than the new formula. From my experience with a rotary and foam or wool pads it is about equal to the cut Menzerna Power Gloss gives.

How the heck do you stop wiper chatter?

Remove any trace of any product on the windshield, that should help a lot.

Quick Review: DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator

I've been using the DP Polishing Pad Rejuvenator for over a year now and am very pleased with this product. All you need is a small scoop in about 3-4 gallons of water. I use a 5 gallon bucket and toss my pads in there right after I use them. They are ready to go in about 10 minutes, the ad...
