Looking for a quality spray sealant...

Hi, Are you interested in a "spray wax" product, or a Wipe-On-Walk-Away (WOWA) sealant? There is a big difference between the two. Spary waxes are more of an enhanced quick detailers (not an exactly accurate description, but close enough) which you usually use in order to boost your current...

How to get your pad dry using the universal pad washer?

Mike, Thanks for the amazing detailed response. Could I ask, from your experience, have you tried cleaning a pad using the pad washer and then drying it and then use it immediately for polishing the next panel? Were you able to achieve a completely dry pad (or dry enough) so it could be...

How to get your pad dry using the universal pad washer?

Thanks BoobyG! Problem with this solution however, is that I don't have a rotary :) Is the Griot's capable of drying the pad on the Grit Guard insert?

How to get your pad dry using the universal pad washer?

Thanks for the input Craig! I'd still like to hear from detailers using the pad washer - is it capable of completely drying the pad so it could be reused for the consecutive panel I need to polish? And what are your tips in order to do so? Thanks :)

How to get your pad dry using the universal pad washer?

Hi all, I'm excited to try out my new pad washer in a couple of weeks when I will be detailing a car. However, I am wondering whether or not you can properly dry your pad in order to keep using it for polishing the next panel, or is a damp pad the best that you get? I have the European version...

my first experience with Collinite 476s and 915

BobbyG, Could you advise how do you get Collinite 915 onto the DA pad? You can't take the whole chunk that is in the jar outside like I've seen Mike Phillips do with Pinnacle Souveran, so how do you do it? Thanks :)

A little letdown with BF midnight sun

All great and important input. I'd also try using a spray wax like Optimum Car Wax, CG V7, Pinnacle XMT 360, etc. after a wash - it will give the fading slickness a nice boost (plus protection of course).

BF Microfiber Cleaner & Restorer - Does it work by hand?

Thanks everyone for the great input! I agree, the thing is that to use a machine for so very few towels is just a waste of water and electricity for me.

BF Microfiber Cleaner & Restorer - Does it work by hand?

Hi all, Thinking of trying BF Microfiber Cleaner & Restorer. However I read that it is meant to be used in a washing machine, while I usually wash my MF products by hand (since I usually have just a few MF towels to wash and I don't want to use the machine for such a small load). Has anyone...

best chemical Cleaning with minimum rubbing by hand

If you're looking for a pure chemical cleaner with no abrasives (dg501 has mild abrasives) I would definitely recommend Klasse AIO. I think it's perfect.

What's the optimal pad size for the Flex 3401?

Everyone, You're awesome. I love this forum. Thanks for taking the time to give your advice. Mike, thank you sooooo much for the great detailed response with the relevant reading material! I did not know (and couldn't find it either on AG's website) that lake country makes backing plates for...

What's the optimal pad size for the Flex 3401?

Hi all, I'm inches away from purchasing the Flex 3401. However the size of most of my pads is 5.5'', and I really don't want to start stocking up on new 6.5'' pads (Currently I have the European version of the Griot's Garage polisher which is identical) I can buy the mini backing plate for...

REMOVAL of Glass Scratches with CarPro and a Griots DA

Hey, This is one excellent write up. Usually when I see reviews which are this long I just scroll down rapidly, but you did manage to get my attention all way through - Kudos! One thing that did bother me (about the process) was that it took you 2.5 hours to do the windshield alone. I mean -...

    Post Your Unpacking Pictures

Okay all... Worry not, these are all different orders placed in recent months, not one big order, most of them are from AG: ^I decided to stock up on some on some DP during a BOGO that was on September.. ^Along with the irresistible UPGP+ BOGO, I welcomed the NanoSkin family which AG...
