Poorboy's White Diamond & Black Hole

Hi all, I've read great reviews on PB's both White Diamond and Black Hole glazes, and thinking of buying some. However, I am wondering which volume should I purchase. Do these products belong to the "less is more\ a little goes a long way" family, or will I need to use a lot of product when...

    Are these rock chips?

Hey, Thanks for the input! That's actually my rear bumper, I think those chips were due to some car kissing mine when parking (or trying to get out of the parking spot). Here are another two - the first from my front bumper, and the second from the part above the wheel:

    Are these rock chips?

Hi all, I'm still not 100% savvy with all of the detailing terminology, and so would like to ask if the following are rock chips. I'm pretty sure this damage was caused by little rocks that fell from trucks I was driving behind and flew into my car's paint. However, when I see posts discussing...

My washing process - why do I get water spots?

I really would like to place my hands on a leaf blower, however the powerful ones here in Israel are quite pricey, plus there's a law here you can't use this device on public areas because of the noise it makes (although I don't think any of my neighbours will make a fuss about me using it for a...

My washing process - why do I get water spots?

Everyone! Thank you so much for your comments, I will definitely try these tips! I'll try blotting after rinsing a panel next time. Thanks for the tip! When I use v7 I first mist a microfiber towel with it, then spray directly on the paint. I spread it with that towel and I buff off with a...

My washing process - why do I get water spots?

Hi all, After washing my car yesterday, I noticed a few water spots on the roof and on the hood today. I was a little surprised because I dry my car immediately when I'm finished with the washing process, and so I wanted to share my process and ask if I am doing anything wrong: I first spray...

Is Ultimate Compound the better way to go?

I don't think it's "mastery vs. instant gratification" in this case, but rather - start off with an easier product to handle so you could get the basics first without causing too much damage.. then move forward. (not as catchy as your's ;) ) I agree, but at the price of 10$ for 16 oz. (and...

Menz. IP or Power Finish for 1 step?

I haven't tried IP (or were you referring to SIP?), but according to the Menzerna table of compounds, IP has less cut and less gloss than PF2500, so I would say that you should stick to PF2500, especially if it worked well for you so far.

Is Ultimate Compound the better way to go?

While there is a lot of sense in what you're saying, I still have to disagree a little. I am still seeing myself as a noob, but I can tell you that before I used my DA polisher for the first time I did tons of research - reading "how to" articles, watching the videos, asking questions at...

Is Ultimate Compound the better way to go?

A very imporant and true remark there. However, I think that for new enthusiasts (like me :) ) that pick up this hobby and come to the forum, I would first direct them to the products they could manage more easily and suggest advancing to other more complex products (like m105) after they've...

Is Ultimate Compound the better way to go?

Hi all, When it comes to a compound, it seems that the forum's favorite (or at least one of the top 3) is Meg's m105. However after doing a little reading, it seems that UC has a longer working time, less dusting and a much lower price while still providing excellent results as a compound. So...
