    TA50 Sander/Polisher

The high rpm does concern me a bit. I've seen some youtube vids of people polishing with the 2" pads and getting excellent results. Not sure if they were using some kind of a regulator.

    TA50 Sander/Polisher

I've been thinking of adding a mini polisher to my arsenal of tools. I am hobbyist so this will be strictly for personal use. Is Rupes's official stance still that the TA50 should only be used for sanding? I know people use it for polishing with good results; is there any potential issues...

Parking Lots - bit of a rant

Sorry to hear that and a shame that people have no respect for anothers property. I too park as far away as possible no matter where I park. I laugh at people that drive around for 20 minutes so they can park right up front. In the meantime, I've already done my shopping and left, lol...

    Soap vs rinseless

I'll never be convinced to use rinseless/waterless washes. Maybe if your vehicle is basically clean and you just want to give it a touch up. But where l live that is all but impossible due to bugs, snow, rain, construction, etc. I use a CR Spotless DI system for the entire wash, not just the...

    UHS OK on Plastic?

Thanks Dylan! I tried UHS on my headlights and they came out looking brand new. Honestly, UHS did as good or better than dedicated plastic polishes l've used. Now, if I can just perfect my technique to minimize product sling l see myself using UHS a lot. Seems like the product likes to...

    UHS OK on Plastic?

I ordered some UHS polish and pads and was wondering how it would do on plastic? Specifically, the headlights on my Tundra. Normally I polish them as a separate step using Griots plastic polish. But if UHS can handle plastic without hazing it would save me some time and an extra step.

boars hair car washing brush vs microfiber mitt

Been using quality boars hair brushes for the last 20 years exclusively and never created scratches. Have you guys felt how soft a high quality brush is? Much softer than any mitt I've used. Not to mention, dirt comes off a boars hair brush pretty much instantly when you dunk it in a soapy...

Quarz Gel with Yellow Polishing Pad?

I've been obsessively caring for my vehicles since I bought my PC buffer from Griot's about 20 years ago. Still have that same buffer and still use it today. I decided to step up my game big time and go all-in on the Rupes system. I ordered a Bigfoot 21 Mark II and Bigfoot Mini along with a...

Griot's Garage - Who we are & what we do

I've been a customer of Griots since the mid 1990's. I still remember looking forward to their catalogues in the mail before the internet really took off. Back in those days, they used to carry a lot of high quality mechanics tools from Europe (Facom) and the USA and I spent $$$ ordering quite...
