    Outrageously priced products...

The 981 Boxster/Cayman S performs very similarly to the base 991 Carrera. You're talking hundreds of pounds less and a 30-35 HP deficit. Depending on the track and the configurations of each vehicle, you might even run a faster time in the 981. Now that said, the base 991 is the bottom end...

How to buy a used car?

Back on topic... My uncle always preached the following: 1. Carfax 2. Service and repair records 3. Always buy a black car with great looking paint. Check the door jambs, fuel door, trunk and hood for water spots or dirt. If they are clean, you have a guy that is obsessive about caring for this...

    Outrageously priced products...

Sounds like someone drives a beater... :) It really isn't always about ego. I own a Porsche and I'm a pca member and frequent the planet-9 forum. That is, in general, the most down-to-earth group of people. All types, but one thing in common: they LOVE cars. Absolutely passionate about them...

    VacuMaid GV50 PRO Garage Vacuum

I have a competitor to the metro that has similar power ratings and I use it to dry my car exclusively. As stated, it is faster to use a towel but it has the advantage of being no-touch. I haven't tried comparing the two because I have the dedicated blower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk...

    VacuMaid GV50 PRO Garage Vacuum

My new toy... So awesome for keeping your cars clean ( or the garage itself), without needing to bust out the vacuum from the house. The 50ft hose reaches everywhere, and it comes with a whole slew of quality attachments and a telescoping metal handle. $278 on amazon...could be cheaper...

    MTM Foam Lance help

I have an 1800 psi - 1.5 gpm electric washer and the standard (gen 1) mtm works just like in the videos with the honeydew soap. Thick, wet foam... Thick enough to stick but wet enough to eventually run off with the dirt. It's great. 4000 psi scares me and would be very tempting to accidentally...

    New wash routine test

Well it remains to be seen if it actually saves time and effort...but just blasting a car with foam, rinsing, and drying seems a lot shorter and less effort than 2BM and all of the constant rinsing to avoid spots, and then drying. And certainly easier on the knees and back... Sent from my...

    New wash routine test

All, Per my other thread, I am seeking to cut my weekly wash effort down significantly so that I can have more beer & football time. :) Rather than my usual 2BM method, I am attempting to transition to a simple foam cannon soak and rinse, then blow dry. In order for the wash to work well...

    New weekly wash routine?

Hi all, Well, since acquiring my 2013 Aqua Blue Boxster S in march, I've only missed a weekly wash twice. ;) I am starting to burn out on the exterior routine, which consists of your standard 2 buckets, gold class wash, endurance tire gel...and a lot of time on the creeper seat with some wheel...

Recommended Pressure Washer /Foam Cannon Setups?

Hi, I am interested in buying an electric pressure washer (I have severely limited storage space, plus I don't want to deal with gas anymore) and a foam cannon. I have read all sorts of posts on the web about fittings not working (eg AR383 and the MTM) and how to fix them...but really i'd...
