Suggest a wash mit specifically for ONR.

I'l lget the lake county sponge since I'm ordering more stuff soon anyway. I assume the problem with the streaky muddy dust all over the paint after using it and blotting dry will go away with the sponge, too.

Dwell? I can't use a pressure sprayer in my garage.

Suggest a wash mit specifically for ONR.

I tried using the Adam's microfiber washing thing and used it on my car. The car had 3 days of garage dust on it. It had not been driven. As I expected, it marked up my clear coat. Although - not as bad as I thought it might. (It does not mark the clear coat if used on paint that has been hit...

    First paid gig.

Adam's swirl/haze and superwax. It's not bad. I never liked either on my own car so I had basically brand new bottles going to waste. I used leatherique on the seats.

    First paid gig.

Masking tape is one of a few things I realized I forgot. Next time!

I know it's no Lamborghotti Fasterossa, but this pup here has seen a lot of hard days. It's been washed with dish soap and "whatever is handy" since day one. I washed it twice, degreased the wheel wells and it completely wrecked a brand new claybar. I wasn't expecting that! I've used the same...

    Dust? Try Grounding Your Car.

Careful, by the time your wax/sealant dries you might be buffing dust into your paint while you remove the dried product. Ask me how I know. :dig:

    Is it lucrative?

I plan on it! I'm doing my first paid job this weekend on a 2004 Toyota Avalon that has been washed with nothing but a home depot orange sponge and dish detergent... Hope I have enough 105 left.:buffing:

    Is it lucrative?

My weekends are nothing but spare time. I'll have to do more research on insurance and such to determine if the weekend details can even pay for the insurance... And figure out how to put detailing supplies in the back of a corvette!

    Is it lucrative?

Mobile service, that is. The wife is totally not on board for even part time because she doesn't believe it can be. - And I know we're talking a ton of variables here. Volume, products, clientele, climate, and geographical factors. The only information I have to go from is salary ranges for...

    Automatic dishwasher soap for carwash

Why not take it one step further: Fill your cup holders with soap and close all windows but one. Put a garden hose in and wait for the car to clean itself!

    07/08 C6 Z06 has owned me

No kidding. But a light breeze over a dusty paint job will put swirls on. :surrender: That's some serious hard work on that black car!

    Subaru Paint

My 05 Saab 92x (impreza) has ridiculously soft paint, although it doesn't seem THAT easy to damage (Unless you're a flying rock, it holds up to road debris like soft cheese holds up to a jackhammer.) It takes about 10 bad wash jobs to show up. 105 and tangerine hydro on a DA makes REAL short...

    Paint Dots?

Have the same thing on my hood and rear deck. 04 Corvette. It's definitely clear coat only as polishing has reduced some of the more shallow ones.

Pic upload test - Epic Vette

The basic mods to the C5 in the picture are fairly typical. Looks like a Stage II Eckler's Kit with additional hood scoop and such. I bet the engine bay is pretty wicked. Lots of nice stainless steel and painted plastic trim I bet.

anything that is close to 105 but doesnt suck with dust

I had a LOT of dusting too. It would sneak around behind my car and jump on the recessed tail lights and be a bear to remove. I hit a few spots last night and tried using the quick cleaning method outlined. (Terry cloth) and it helped a TON. It still dusts, but it's managed pretty easy now.

    Household items you've detailed..

I use Collinite 845 on my wife's new vanity that I installed for her. I also use Zaino Z2 on our refinished bath tub. DP Glass restore kit is fantastic in the house too, by the by...
