    Autogeeked!!

APC will definitely strip or at the least weaken the sealant on the wheels. Since you are sealing the wheels and plan to wash frequently, you shouldn't need anything other than car soap to scrub them clean. If the car soap isn't enough to get them clean it's time to APC and re-seal. :detailer:

    DEEP scratches = Suggestions ?

Make sure you clean it off real good. I would do a compound and then a finishing polish with the Porter Cable. Ultimate Compound + Ultimate Polish are pretty user friendly. If you are comfortable with using compound you could step up to M105 + M205. I am not guarenteeing that will clear it up...

    DEEP scratches = Suggestions ?

Unfortunately if your fingernail catches (unless it's BARELY catching, in this case you could possibly smooth it out) that's usually a sign that it is through the clearcoat. In this case you will not be able to buff it out.:cry:

    Autogeeked!!

I've always had issues with dealerships still washing it when I tell them not to so I feel your pain! 1 and 3 I'm not 100% sure but for 2, why not optiseal the wheels as well? APC won't protect them it will just clean them.

    First Timer

There are a TON of products to choose from for a reason ;) ..and yes it's so they can make more money:dblthumb2: Try to simplify your process and not get caught up in the hype. It's all in the technique.

    Best once a year wax?

If you use something like Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax as a drying aid after every wash you will be good. A coating will be less work and last longer, but in my opinion less fun :xyxthumbs:

    First Timer

I think you would do fine starting out with an AIO. I myself use Griots One-Step Sealant and it's pretty easy to work with. It will take some of those scratches out and fill the deeper ones. If you want to go to something with more cut I would suggest a finish polish like James suggested...

    Best once a year wax?

A wax typically won't last you a year on a DD. I use 2 layers of Collinite 845 (almost a hybrid sealant/wax) with 6 months protection. To last a year you will need something more towards a coating like Opti-Coat. Unfortunately I don't have much experience in this area so hopefully others can...

Chemical Guys All Clean + Safe?

Just wanted to give an update. Chemical Guys won't send me a MSDS sheet until I buy the product but they were able tell me the PH level is 8. So this makes it relatively close to neutral, almost too close to believe...

Chemical Guys All Clean + Safe?

Ah that makes sense. So the chemicals in a dedicated wheel cleaner have a specific purpose. Thanks!

Chemical Guys All Clean + Safe?

I think I'm missing something. Can someone explain how All Clean + can work really well on tires but not wheels? Usually even wheel cleaner isn't strong enough to get the brown out of tires so I'm confused as to how this is strong enough to do that but not wheels.

Chemical Guys All Clean + Safe?

Awesome, thanks for the responses everyone, this helps! So the general consensus seems to agree that it's a good wheel/tire cleaner with some manual labor but might not be suited for heavily soiled wheels. To all that mentioned Diablo I was definitely looking at getting this but it seems to be...

Chemical Guys All Clean + Safe?

Does anyone know if CG All Clean + Diluted 1:10 is safe on ALL wheels/tires? I am looking for a cheaper alternative to using OTC wheel cleaner but am concerned that it will dry out my tires/spot my wheels. I have asked Chemical Guys for a MSDS sheet, couldn't find it on here so I will upload...

Polish to use once a year after winter

I might start out with UP and then work my way to m205 or SF4000. So my annual regime will be: Wash Clay UP/m205 Collinite 845

Polish to use once a year after winter

Just02896 - the problem is that it isn't defect free. In the winter my car is covered in salt and the touchless car washes still create marring/swirls. I realize that it is a DD and I'm okay living with some of them but if I could use a polish (like the ones mentioned) once a year to minimize...
