I've used both Griot's Paint Sealant and 1 Step Paint Sealant on family cars. Both lasted at least 12 months. All were applied to the clean polished paint, not over any wax.

I found some plastic razor blades from various suppliers on Amazon.

I would love to have the Autogeek Professional Detailer's Bag. It looks like it would be ideal to hold my supplies. I detail as a hobby, but the bag would be great when I go to Dad's or the kid's to work on their cars. (Now if only it came pre-loaded....Im the MAN)

Great job, it looks fantastic. I too would like to know what you used on the pillars. As previously stated, they seem to swirl up instantly! Our 09 is the standard MINI, not an S, and we've had no problems in 48,000 miles (knock wood!). Not quite as much fun as an S, but no runflats!

Well, I guess I must be an AutoGeek, or just plain nuts. Did a complete detail on the MINI yesterday in the driveway. Temp was 94 when I looked. Started @ 0700 & finished @ 1900. Took an hour break around 1300 because there was no shade in the driveway. Getting the MINI ready for MINIs on...

I've used both Bosch Icons & Rain-X Latitudes on our Subbie. Both worked well but the end caps have stayed on the Rain-X blades. We have had them come off of the Bosch blades. (MINI supplies free blades as part of their service agreement but the Rain-X blades work better in snow.)

My dad wanted one. Found it at Wallymart, quite a few on the shelf, but they are "out of stock" on line. Go figure...

I've had pretty good results with Griot's HD wheel cleaner and their Wheel scrubber brushes. I have my wheels coated with Wheel Armour, which does help with all the brake dust kicked up by the BMW pads.
